Lea Michele and Naya Rivera were reportedly in a lengthy feud during their time on Glee together, and now, the show’s creator Ryan Murphy has spoken about the speculation.

Ryan was speaking about his new FX show Feud when he was asked about Lea and Naya.

“I feel like in the case of that show [Glee], that show was just a s–tstorm of difficulty, largely because, what do you do when you’re 18 years old or 19 years old and you wake up one day and you’re world famous? I think a lot of that was informed by their youth and being involved in a phenomenon. And I know for a fact that they [Lea and Naya] admired each other’s work, ’cause I directed them both in scenes,” Ryan told E! about their rumored feud.

When asked if he would take on Lea and Naya‘s feud for his new FX Feud series, he replied, “I don’t think I would take on Lea and Naya. I think for a feud to work on this show, it has to have decades of pain behind it. But if they’re still feuding at 40, I might consider it. I’ll call them up in a couple years.”

And then, Ryan dropped this little tidbit. “There were many boys on our show that didn’t get along. And you never hear about that. You never hear about that in our culture,” he said.

Naya has addressed the feud with Lea in the past.

The 29-year-old actress looked stunning while stepping out to attend the Mad Families premiere party at Catch LA on Monday night (January 9) in West Hollywood, Calif.

Naya was rocking super chic look which included totally sheer shirt, designed by Steven Khalil.

Naya turns the big 30 on Thursday (January 12) and it looks like this was a great way to kick off her birthday celebrations!

Naya Rivera and her husband of over two years Ryan Dorsey are calling it quits.

The 29-year-old Glee star filed papers to divorce her 33-year-old husband. She is seeking primary physical custody of their 1-year-old son, Josey, TMZ reports. She wants to give Ryan visitation.

If you remember, Naya and Ryan’s marriage came as a surprise! Naya has split from Big Sean a few months earlier and called off their engagement. It was then revealed that Naya and Ryan got married on the same day that Naya was supposed to marry Big Sean.

If you didn’t know, the two ladies have something in common. They have both starred in TV shows with Lea Michele! Naya and Lea worked together on Glee and Abigail currently stars with Lea on Scream Queens.

Later that day, the 29-year-old actress expressed that everyone needed to see Ava DuVernay‘s new Netflix documentary 13th.

“If you haven’t already, make sure to watch 13th on Netflix. Something has to change,” she wrote on her Twitter.

Ava‘s documentary 13th discusses important issues regarding race and mass incarceration and make the case that slavery hasn’t disappeared from the U.S.

13th is available now for streaming on Netflix.

In the mag, the 29-year-old former Glee actress opened up about life as a new mom, her upcoming projects and what she’d be doing if she wasn’t acting. Check it:

On how being a mom has changed her: “I still feel like the same me but…now I have different priorities. Having someone else to look out for other than myself is a really beautiful thing, it gives you a whole new dimension of joy, and elevates your life in so many ways.”

On what she’d be doing if she wasn’t an actress: “I’d probably be a writer in some form, either songwriting or screenplays. I really love writing and…that’s one of the reasons I really wanted to write my book.”

On what she has coming up next: “There’s a lot in the air, but to be honest I’m taking some time to figure out exactly which project I really want to do next. Being a mom, which I love, certainly changes your priorities. As much as I love singing, dancing and acting I really want to find a new balance between my work and my family life. My son Josey is now my number one priority, which eliminates all those long location projects.”
