Not only did he have a film at Sundance (Red State) and a new Disney movie coming out in a couple of months (Prom), the 19-year-old actor has just booked a role on NBC’s new comedy pilot Brave New World.
Deadline reports that the new pilot is a workplace comedy that follows a group of unusual characters at Pilgrim Village, a theme park that specializes in recreations of New England in 1637. Nick will play one of the workers at Pilgrim Village who is embarrassed about his job but needs the money and the health benefits.
Nick plays Lloyd (a homage to John Cusack‘s Lloyd in Say Anything) and he’s having a hard time getting a prom date. He’s never really asked a girl to do…well, anything…and now high school is coming to an end.
Motivated by the fact that his time is running out and he’s left no legacy, he turns into an unstoppable romantic with a repertoire of funny antics. Putting all his game into play for an all-out prom-date blitz, Lloyd hopes to wind up with a girl…any girl.
Raini plays Tess, his freshman step-sister who is helping him out and nixing those lame pick-up lines. Yay for Tess!
Check out our video below with Raini about how she filmed her scenes with Nick, who is 6’8″!
