Nolan Sotillo rocks a red tie as he hits the carpet at the premiere of his first ever movie, Prom, held at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood on Thursday night (April 21).
The 17-year-old actor plays Lucas Arnaz in the film — a guy who’s torn between his best friend Corey (Cameron Monaghan) and the possible love of his life, Simone (Danielle Campbell).
Nolan recently shared with us about the debut of his new song, “I remember being around 12 or 13 and wishing I could have my songs on Radio Disney and when ‘We Could Be Anything’ came out and it started playing on Radio Disney…it was really a dream come true. And to have it in the film! It’s amazing.”
JJJ just got our hands on the Prom soundtrack and can’t get enough of it. So in honor of Stick Hippo Friday, we’re letting you know our favorite tracks!
Not only does the album feature Allstar Weekend‘s “Not Your Birthday,” Neon Trees‘ “Your Surrender,” and Nolan Sotillo‘s “We Could Be Anything,” it’s also got some pretty awesome indie bands.
Like…Those Dancing Days. They’re an Swedish indie pop band that were actually supposed to make their US debut at the 2011 SXSW Film and Music Festival. But, they didn’t have their Visas in time.
Passion Pit, Simple Plan, Shout Out Louds, Shere, and Girl in a Coma also scored a spot on the record. Who else? Star Thomas McDonell‘s band, Moon. We’ll have more on that soon!
The Prom soundtrack drops on Tuesday, April 26th with the movie opening on April 29th. Bigger pic inside…More Here! »
Nolan Sotillo and Cameron Monaghan show off their lacrosse helmets in this brand-new, exclusive clip from their upcoming movie, Prom.
As part of making the lacrosse team at Brookside High, the buddies have to wear the helmets all day long. While the Varsity team thinks it’s a rite of passage, Danielle Campbell thinks it’s cute.
Check out the clip below. Prom hits theaters on April 29th!
“It’s such a sweet song. I actually recorded another version in Spanish. It’s called ‘Podemos Tocar el Cielo,’” Nolan, 16, shared with JJJ. “The song actually plays over the credits, so everyone stay and listen.”
In the video, we even get to see more Lucas (Sotillo) and Simone (Campbell) scenes. They’re only sophomores in the film, but we can already tell that we’re going to be rooting for them.
Check it out below and let us know what you think about Nolan‘s song!
The -year-old actor was just cast on Madison High as Colby Baker, the artistic anime fan whose hand-drawn Manga is inspired by his high school experiences.
