Oliver Twist is coming back to the big screen in a whole new way!
Disney has enlisted Ice Cube and Tony Award winning director of Hamilton, Thomas Kail, to remake Charles Dickens‘ classic novel as musical set in present-day America, according to THR.
In case you’re unfamiliar, the book follows an orphan boy who meets a pickpocket on the streets of London and joins a household of boys who are trained to steal for their master.
The new Oliver Twist will reportedly feature music from different genres, including hip-hop, and Ice Cube will play Fagin.
