Here's What Kind Of Heroes Olivia Holt & Aubrey Joseph Will Be in 'Cloak & Dagger' Season Two

Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph step out for the 2019 Freeform Summit at Goya Studios in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (March 27).

The two on-screen superheroes were joined by their Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger co-stars Emma Lahana, Ally Maki, Brooklyn McLinn, Noelle Renee Bercy and Miles Mussenden.

Showrunner Joe Pokaski chatted with TV Guide recently about what season two will bring fans and how Tandy and Tyrone are embracing their hero roles.

“If Season 1 was a call to action, we’ve answered it by the end of that season,” he shared. “Now in Season 2, we really want to focus on the question of what kind of hero, what kind of vigilante are they going to be?”

He added, “We see, very early on in the season, Tandy and Tyrone trying their own brand of vigilante justice. And then we very quickly put in a complication with them and recalibrate what’s right and wrong in terms of taking justice into your own hand.”

Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger is back on April 4th.

Olivia Holt Says Playing Kim on 'Kickin' It' Prepared Her For Tandy on 'Cloak & Dagger'

Olivia Holt Says Playing Kim on 'Kickin' It' Prepared Her For Tandy on 'Cloak & Dagger'

Olivia Holt looks amazing in red on the new cover of Bello magazine!

The 21-year-old actress opened up in the glossy about how her previous roles prepared her for Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, music and more. Check it:

On how her previous roles prepared her for Tandy: “I think all of the characters that I have played are so different from Tandy, wildly different, but I think all of them have a strength to them which I really like and I didn’t do that on purpose. For some reason, I love the idea of having all these characters under my belt that have a strong headspace and heartspace and purpose. It’s important for me to play characters like that because I think it’s important for young girls and young women to see women like that on television and in movies.”

On falling in love with acting after music: “Music was my first love. It was originally what I wanted to do and then just equally I fell in love with acting. I want to do both for the rest of my life, I don’t ever want to have to choose. Both are my creative outlets and they are two things that I am insanely passionate about.”

On working with her friends: “I would love to do a project with all of my female friends and create something from scratch and have some female driven story with the women in my life who are so strong, confident, and beautiful inside and out. They are complicated but ambitious and driven on so many levels of life and to be able to experience that with them would definitely be a dream.”

Olivia Holt Explains What Drew Her to 'Cloak & Dagger'

Olivia Holt has always been drawn to her Cloak and Dagger character Tandy, thanks to her fierce underlying hope.

The 21-year-old actress recently opened up about taking on the Marvel role and the lessons she’s learned from Tandy.

“As we get older, we sort of have a harder time believing in ourselves and what we can achieve. But when we’re younger, we still sort of hold on to it and have a tighter grasp as to what we believe in,” Olivia told TV Guide.

She added, “Tandy is constantly in survival mode. She can be a very cynical — because life took from her, and she wants to take it back but deep down she thinks fiercely in hope. We used to be these playful, intelligent, fun kids who feel invincible in some sort of way. For me, that was something that sort of came back when I booked this gig, this sense of feeling like I can conquer anything in my life.”
