'Riverdale' Actress Tiera Skovbye is Joining 'Once Upon a Time'

You may know Tiera Skovbye as Polly Cooper on Riverdale, but you’re about to know her as someone entirely new: Robin, the daughter of Robin Hood and Zelena on Once Upon a Time.

The ABC series has cast Tiera as a “strong-willed good girl turned rebel,” TVLine reports, “who is struggling to define her identity.”

Robin wants to break free from her powerful parents and find her own adventures.

The series also stars Adelaide Kane as Ivy/Drizella

We can’t wait to find out more.

Look for her in the winter finale (season 7, episode 10)!

Henry Tries To Get Close to Ivy on Tonight's 'Once Upon A Time'

Ivy doesn’t really seem like an approachable person on Once Upon a Time…that until Henry tries it out.

Adelaide Kane spoke to EW about tonight’s episode and how Henry (Andrew J. West) reaches out to see just why Ivy is the way she is.

“No one’s ever really taken the time or come close enough to actually ask her how she’s doing or try and see something more than this faade she puts on to hide all of her pain,” Adelaide shared.

She adds, “Henry’s just the first person, and I would say probably the first man, who is gentle with her, asks some difficult questions, and takes a genuine interest in her feelings, in her life and what her experience is for her.”

“He tries to find out maybe a little bit why she is the way she is, why she is so nasty and petty because people aren’t just born like that.”

Once Upon a Time airs TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Adelaide Kane Previews Drizella's 'Sibling Rivalry' with Anastasia on 'Once Upon a Time'

Adelaide Kane Previews Drizella's 'Sibling Rivalry' with Anastasia on 'Once Upon a Time'

If you’ve been watching Once Upon A Time‘s new season, you know that Drizella’s sister, Anastasia, died when she was a child.

While it’s something that Lady Tremaine fully blames Cinderella for, the matriarch has been taking out her sadness and anger on Drizella too.

Adelaide Kane spoke to EW recently about the sibling rivalry that existed between the sisters.

“While Ivy probably mourned her sister, there was always sibling rivalry that Ivy could never quite match up to, even as hard as she tried,” she shared. “Besides the grief of losing a sister, I think probably initially she felt some sense of relief that she no longer had this competition and that perhaps maybe she could finally win the approval and the love of her mother that she was never able to have.”

Adelaide adds, “It might have backfired on her a little bit in that now she gets the brunt of Victoria’s grief and disdain and hatred.”

“She’s caught a lot of the emotional blowback from that death, but there seems to be possible hinting at something deeper than just a sibling rivalry between Drizella and Anastasia, but I don’t know what it is yet. I’m really curious to find out if there are like really odd circumstances surrounding that death.”

We’ll be finding out more details surrounding Anastasia’s death in the coming episodes.

Adelaide Kane's Drizella Is Not To Be Underestimated on 'Once Upon A Time'

Adelaide Kane's Drizella Is Not To Be Underestimated on 'Once Upon A Time'

Drizella might be the one you want to hate on Once Upon A Time this season, along with her mom Lady Tremaine, but don’t underestimate anything about her.

Showrunner Eddy Kitsis told TVLine that while she puts “the ‘wicked’ in wicked stepsister…she’s not one to be underestimated – and yet certain characters make that mistake.”

Sounds like Drizella, played by Adelaide Kane, might just have an evil plan of her own up her sleeves.

In tonight’s episode, “A Pirate’s Life”, Henry finds himself in trouble, he calls upon his Storybrooke family for help, and together they set off on a mission to find Cinderella. Along the way, Hook is confronted by an unexpected foe who threatens the group’s success.

In Hyperion Heights, Jacinda searches for a way to see Lucy with some unwelcome assistance from Henry, while Victoria Belfrey enlists the help of Gold and Weaver to push Henry out of the neighborhood.

Tune in TONIGHT @ 8PM ET/PT on ABC.

Mekia Cox Clears Up 'Princess & The Frog' Questions on 'Once Upon A Time'

Mekia Cox Clears Up 'Princess & The Frog' Questions on 'Once Upon A Time'

Earlier this summer, we were all wondering about how Tiana’s story (from The Princess and the Frog) would fit into Once Upon a Time this season, and we didn’t get a great answer.

“We’re not redoing the movie, but we’re taking it as a jumping off point,” executive producer Adam Horowitz shared at the time. “We have a OUAT spin.”

However, Mekia Cox, who plays Tiana/Sabine in the upcoming season, is making it all good again for us.

“When I first auditioned, I asked that same question, and they said that they would like to meld The Princess and the Frog from Disney’s Princess and the Frog with the real Princess and the Frog stories, so they’re taking bits and pieces of it all,” she shared with EW.

She adds, “I mean, her name is Tiana, and they have bits of the bayou and all of that in there, but then they’re also taking pieces from other portions of the actual fairy tale, the Princess and the Frog story.”

Okay, so our Princess and the Frog hearts are a lot better now. Especially since we know that cooking is still part of her.

“Her main thing is she has her eyes on this goal of hers, which is cooking,” Mekia says. “She has always loved cooking, and you go back and you see how she gained this entrepreneurial spirit that she has; and that is brought into the real world.”

Once Upon a Time premieres Friday, October 6th on ABC.

Cinderella's Other Step-Sister Anastasia Will Appear on 'Once Upon A Time'

Cinderella's Other Step-Sister Anastasia Will Appear on 'Once Upon A Time'

Once Upon a Time is back this Friday on ABC with an all-new curse, cast members and city.

However, one face that wasn’t announced or casted just yet was Cinderella’s other step-sister Anastasia and it has fans wondering if we’ll ever see her on the new season.

The answer = YES! But, only in flashbacks right now.

According to TVLine, the younger Anastasia will be featured in episode #9, which is the ‘reset’ episode.

The site also reports that unlike her sister Drizella (Adelaide Kane), is described as “a happy and selfless” lass who “loves her sister and step-sister alike.”

Adelaide Kane Describes OUAT's Drizella as 'High-Strung' & 'Slightly Ditzy'

Adelaide Kane Describes OUAT's Drizella as 'High-Strung' & 'Slightly Ditzy'

We only have a few more days until Once Upon a Time returns on ABC and Adelaide Kane is teasing more about her character, Drizella.

“I don’t know if she’s evil, but she’s been a lot of fun to play,” the former Reign actress admits in a new interview with EW. “I’m in really, really cute clothes. My slogan for her is buttoned-up and b*****.”

Adelaide adds, “She seems like a very high-strung, slightly ditzy young woman and she’s just very petty. She’s kind of like that awful bully in high school except that she doesn’t know how to win people to her side so she’s just alone, snappy, snarky, sarcastic, and miserable all the time.”

“It’s been a lot of fun. I get some really fun lines where I can just snap back at people. I’ve been having a great time. She’s very funny. She’s the worst in a hilarious way.”

She also adds that she is the way she is because of the abuse from her mother, Lady Tremaine.

“Deep deep down, she’s been emotionally abused for years by an uncaring, negligent, controlling, obsessive mother,” Adelaide says. “There’s no softness to her.”

“She’s mostly just a bastard little girl in a grown woman’s body just lashing out at everybody who comes close to her, because she has no faith or trust in anything anymore and her whole world has just become keeping her mother happy, so her life doesn’t get any harder than it is.”

Once Upon A Time returns on Friday, October 6th.
