Louis Tomlinson Felt Forgettable in One Direction's Early Days

Louis Tomlinson Felt Forgettable in One Direction's Early Days

Louis Tomlinson got really real about his days in One Direction, feeling like he was very forgettable in the group.

In his interview with The Observer, Louis sized up all his bandmates compared to him.

“The others have always been…Like Niall, for example. He’s the most lovely guy in the world. Happy-go-lucky Irish, no sense of arrogance. And he’s fearless. There are times I’ve thought: ‘I’d have a bit of that.’ Zayn, back in the day. He could relate to me on a nerves level. In the first year we were both the least confident.

“But Zayn has a fantastic voice and for him it was always about owning that. Liam always had a good stage presence, same as Harry, they’ve both got that ownership. Harry comes across very cool. Liam’s all about getting the crowd going, doing a bit of dancing…”

“And then there’s me,” he says before adding his most important role was in the business side: “If there was any bad news that needed giving to the label I’d always be designated to have the argument.”

If you’re talking to your computer screen or phone right now, telling Louis that he wasn’t as forgettable as he thinks he was, he’ll tell you different again.

“You know I didn’t sing a single solo on the X Factor?” Louis remembers.

“A lot of people can take the piss out of that. But when you actually think about how that feels, standing on stage every single week, thinking: ‘What have I really done to contribute here? Sing a lower harmony that you can’t really hear in the mix?”

One Direction are proving to still be the best of friends.

Niall Horan and Liam Payne both headed to Instagram after hearing of Harry Stylesstepdad’s passing.

“Very sad to hear about the loss of Robin,” Niall wrote with a pic of Robin with Harry‘s mom, Anne.

“For those who had the pleasure of knowing Robin will know that he was the nicest, kindest, most generous, hilariously funny guy you’ll have met.

He added, “He always had a smile on his face even when he was battling the terrible illness. Love ya H. Please give your mum and the rest of the family a massive hug from my family.”

Liam used the same picture for his message as well. Read it below:

Niall Horan Says Collaborating With the One Direction Guys Would Be 'A Bit Weird'

Don’t expect Niall Horan to get into the studio with his former bandmates anytime soon.

The 23-year-old singer, who is enjoying the success of his solo music right now, has some collaboration ideas – but none of them involve the One Direction guys.

“I have a couple of songs that could potentially be something like that,” Niall told ET Canada. “I can get to play some stuff to people and see what happens, but the whole idea of a collaboration, you know, it’s great – because like, I don’t think there’s a lot of it going on in our world anyway. Not as much as there should be.”

“Can’t rule anything out really, can you?” Niall said about working with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, or Louis Tomlinson. “I suppose right now, it would be a bit weird.”

As for his album coming out, he said, “I’m thinking October, November time. There’s a lot of stuff going on at the minute, promo-wise around the world. Performing things down in Australia, and it’s all crazy at the minute. So when I get time to stop that – or when that stops – I’ll then release it. I’m really looking forward to it.”

Camila Cabello Once Ran A One Direction Fan Account on Twitter & Cried When Zayn Quit!

We knew Camila Cabello liked One Direction, we didn’t know how much she liked them!

The 20-year-old former Fifth Harmony member recently revealed that she actually ran a 1D fan account on Twitter!

“I mean, I was like a huge One Direction fan. They were like the reason why I tried out for X-Factor,” Camila told Beats 1′s Zane Lowe. “I cried [when Zayn Malik left the band], not gonna lie. Because it’s the end of an era. It’s the end of an era. And obviously, like I literally – you don’t understand. I had a twitter account for One Direction. Like I was one of those fangirls at one point.”

“So, you know, it’s the end of something that’s really beautiful and inspired so many people,” she added. “It was a dream. Just like Fifth Harmony, the five of us were a dream to our fans and it’s beautiful. So obviously when anything comes to an end, it’s emotional for everybody. But it’s also exciting cause you’re like ‘Okay, what is he like? What does he want to say?’ And I think that’s why him [Zayn] and all the other boys: Niall [Horan], Harry [Styles], Louis [Tomlinson], and Liam [Payne] now coming out it’s like oh, now you get to see who the people were inside that group. And I think that’s just as exciting.”

Liam Payne Wouldn't Leave His Son Bear With Harry Styles - Find Out Why!

Liam Payne opens up about which One Direction guy he’d trust most with his newborn son Bear!

The 23-year-old singer was asked about which guy would be best at babysitting – and honestly, his answers are pretty hilarious.

“I suppose Louis [Tomlinson] because Louis‘ got a nipper, but he’d be my last choice in my head, that’s the funniest thing,” Liam said on Vodafone Big Top 40 radio show. “But he’s got to be first because he knows more than the rest of them.”

“I couldn’t rely on Harry [Styles] because I feel that my child would come out dressed in something that I just wouldn’t understand and then with Niall [Horan], the child would be putting golf balls on tees.”

He joked, “Niall would be pushing the pram while swinging the putter. I think I’ll leave Bear with me, although am I the most trusted?”

Liam Payne Doesn't Want You To Get Your Hopes Up About a One Direction Reunion With Zayn Malik

All four guys of One Direction are for certain that one day, the band will reunite — even Liam Payne is.

However, you shouldn’t count or get your hopes up about Zayn Malik reuniting with the guys as well.

During an interview with Bizarre Life with Dan Wootton, Liam explained that Zayn, “doesn’t really want to. That’s on him, really.”

“[He] doesn’t really support the cause [a reunion]. So it’s not like he could be,” he shared. “He feels hurt and scorned in some way that I don’t really understand. That’s down to him.”

Liam also opened up about Zayn‘s break from the band.

“[It's] very sad because One Direction was a wonderful, wonderful time in all of our lives. It was like uni, but on steroids. It was mad. It was madness. It was so much fun. I don’t understand how you can come out of that experience and say the things that he says sometimes,” he shared.

“It doesn’t make any sense to me, but there you go.”
