Niall Horan Doesn't Think He'll Ever Reach One Direction's Height of Fame

Niall Horan Doesn't Think He'll Ever Reach One Direction's Height of Fame

Although Niall Horan‘s current Flicker Sessions World Tour is sold out, the “Slow Hands” singer admits that he will probably never reach the same fame that One Direction had.

“I know that anything I do, and all of us are like that, anything I do is not going to be as big as One Direction – ever,” he told the Irish Sun. “No matter what, or how hard I try.”

“But I’m just a music lover, and I just try and give my money’s worth to people and give their money’s worth back to them and just have a laugh,” he continued.

Regarding his post-1D life, Niall said, “I always knew that I would write and that was the whole initial idea to just go into the studio and start writing again and start writing at home just to keep my mind ticking over and for the love of it. And then it came about after a few songs. I played them to my management and they were like, ‘You shouldn’t be giving these to anyone, we should make an album as they are.’ So here we are.”

“We have to just wait until everyone’s ready to go again, we’ll go again,” he added. “It’d be nice to think that we stopped at a high point, it’d be nice to pick up from there.”

1D or no 1D, we’ll still love you Niall!

Niall will drop his debut solo album Flicker in October.

Niall Horan may be a full-fledged solo artist now kicking off his solo tour, but he will never forget where he came from.

The 23-year-old former One Direction singer had a huge night yesterday evening, August 29, kicking off the first night of his Flicker Sessions tour.

Niall revealed the title of his debut album, played some previously unheard gems, and — best of all — went back to his 1D roots.

At his Dublin concert, he sang “Fool’s Gold,” a ballad from 1D‘s 2014 album, Four. Of course, the crowd was obsessed with the throwback.

See that? It’s our hopes and dreams that 1D will someday get back together again, alive and well.

Louis Tomlinson Recalls His First VMAs With One Direction

Louis Tomlinson Recalls His First VMAs With One Direction

Louis Tomlinson and One Direction definitely didn’t feel like they fit in at their first VMAs!

The group first attended the show in the early 2010s, back when they were a brand new band.

“I remember the first time we went to the VMAs…and like Rihanna is sat two rows in front and Drake,” Louis explained to MTV News.

He continued, “We were feeling out of our depth and I just looked over and me and Niall are just, like, scarfing eating this hot dog proper messy, thinking, like, ‘We shouldn’t really be here.’”

But even though they weren’t quite award show pros yet, Louis added, “I have loads of really nice memories from that.”

Louis Tomlinson Got Help From Simon Cowell During a Pretty Scary Moment

Louis Tomlinson Got Help From Simon Cowell During a Pretty Scary Moment

Aww, we love how much of a father figure Simon Cowell has become to the One Direction guys!

The reality TV judge and producer recently shared a story about a time Louis Tomlinson‘s nerves got the best of him before a show.

“When somebody goes a little bit crazy, my way of dealing with things is to deal with it straight away, face-to-face,” Simon told Billboard about the incident. “I sat him down and went, ‘Look, we’ve all been there, I’ve been there. You’re in a fantastic place right now.’ … And then we laughed it off, he sent me a very nice text afterwards and from that moment we had this incredible bond.”

Simon also revealed that he told Louis – the last of the guys to launch his solo career – not to feel too much pressure and to “always be true to yourself with the music.”

Louis and I, you know, we’ve got this very close bond,” Simon elaborated. “When we heard about this current record, I remember calling him and going, ‘Louis, this record is special’ – and I could not be happier.”

“Actually, with all the boys, if I’m being honest with you,” Simon added. “They’ve worked for this. But yeah, you do feel a little bit like a proud dad when you see all five of them doing well now.”

Simon put Louis, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik together in a group after they all auditioned individually for The X Factor UK in 2010.

The day the world was changed forever.

Louis Tomlinson Only Trusts This One Direction Guy to Babysit Son Freddie

Louis Tomlinson Only Trusts This One Direction Guy to Babysit Son Freddie

We’re pretty much convinced that the real bromance of One Direction is all about Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan, because Louis just revealed something huge!

Speaking with 92.3 AMP Radio, the “Back To You” singer revealed that the only guy he’d absolutely, 100% trust to babysit his son Freddie would be Niall.

“I don’t know who I would least trust to be quite honest because actually, all the boys are quite good with kids, honestly,” Louis shared, however, Niall is the one he trusts the most.

“I’m going to go off what I’ve seen and I’ve seen Niall with little Theo quite a lot, which is his brother’s baby, so I’m going to go with Niall,” he says.

“Hopefully, he doesn’t let me down in this theoretical plan. I haven’t seen Liam – I’m not saying he’s not great, I’m just going off what I’ve seen!”
