'TVD' Franchise Series Alums Danielle Campbell & Paul Wesley Open Up About Finally Working Together on 'Tell Me A Story'

It’s about time that Danielle Campbell and Paul Wesley are finally working together!

The two Vampire Diaries franchise stars sat down with TV Guide and opened up about working on screen together in CBS All Access’s Tell Me A Story for the new season.

“We have loads of scenes together this season,” Danielle shared. “It’s been actually wonderful because I’ve known Paul for so many years because of Vampire Dairies and The Originals. So now, actually getting to work with him, he’s hysterical.”

She added that “getting to work with him has been such a pleasure, and he’s a phenomenal actor to work off of.”

Paul also said that Danielle is just “so sweet. I feel like I’ve kinda seen her grow up. I’ve seen her grown up and now we’re playing opposite of each other. We’ve had a really great time, a lot of laughter.”

Tell Me a Story season two is set to premiere THIS Thursday, December 5th on CBS All Access.

Paul Wesley stops by Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen for a chat about his new show, Tell Me A Story, airing on Monday night (December 2).

During his visit, the 37-year-old actor opened up about his days on The Vampire Diaries and revealed that he actually didn’t like that almost the entire town of Mystic Falls were supernatural beings by the end.

“There needs to be some humans, we’re in the real world!” he told host Andy. “Everyone in the whole town was a mystical creature. I feel like it should have been 50/50.”

Paul also added that he would’ve liked to see both Salvatore brothers bite the dust in the end.

“I would have liked that we both died and that Elena … all of her memory was wiped and she went on to live a normal life and forgot that we ever existed. I think that would have been nice,” he shared.

Nina Dobrev & Paul Wesley Mock Reports That Say They 'Despise' Each Other

Nina Dobrev & Paul Wesley Mock Reports That Say They 'Despise' Each Other

Nina Dobrev and Paul Wesley are having more fun with some headlines claiming that the two despise each other in a new Instagram.

The two actors and friends, who starred on The Vampire Diaries together, posted a funny video where Paul tosses her into the pool! LOL!

Earlier this summer, Nina revealed on the Directionally Challenged Podcast with Candice King and Kayla Ewell, that she and Paul actually didn’t get along when the show first started.

“Paul and I didn’t get along at the beginning of the show. I respected Paul Wesley; I didn’t like Paul Wesley. I remember everyone would walk up to me after the show aired and they’d be like, ‘Are you and Paul dating in real life?’ because everyone thought that we had such good chemistry. I realize now that there’s a fine line between love and hate and we despised each other so much that it read as love. We really just didn’t get along the first maybe five months of shooting.”

This week, Nina backtracked a bit on how she didn’t mean it the way it sounded.

“I guess nothing else was happening that week ‘cause every outlet picked it up,” Nina shared. “I felt like I was Brangelina. You know what, guys? We’re not…[I was referring to] a very brief moment in time [when] we did not get along.”

Nina Dobrev Wants to Put an End to Rumors She & Paul Wesley 'Didn't Get Along' While Filming 'Vampire Diaries'

Nina Dobrev is ready to move on!

During a new interview on the podcast Chicks in the Office, the 30-year-old actress addressed rumors that she and co-star Paul Wesley feuded while filming The Vampire Diaries.

In an interview back in June, Nina said that she and the 37-year-old actor “didn’t get along” while filming the first season of the hit show.

Well now Nina is saying her comments were “blown out of proportion.”

“I guess nothing else was happening that week ‘cause every outlet picked it up,” Nina shared on the podcast. “I felt like I was Brangelina. You know what, guys? We’re not.”

Nina continued to say that she was only referring “a very brief moment in time [when] we did not get along.”

“Just like any human wouldn’t,” Nina continued. “If you said that you and your parents have loved each other unconditionally and your siblings from the moment you were born until the day that you die, you’d be a f–king liar.”

Nina then went on to explain how you become a “family” on set and that sometimes little fights happen.

“You spend every waking moment together—probably more moments than you do with your real family because you’re there from, like, 5 in the morning until midnight, 6 a.m. sometimes,” Nina said. “So you see each other with makeup, without makeup, on good days, on bad days, when you’re hungry, when you’re thirsty, when you’re tired. So, there are going to be mood swings. It was one of those things that we just—it’s not that we didn’t like each other. We just didn’t appreciate each other as much as we do now—and that, of course, got blown [out] of proportion. They took one sentence out of context and deleted all of the other ones where I’m like, ‘I love him. We’re best friends now.’”

Nina and Paul are totally fine now and they snapped a sweet pic last year during a reunion!

Paul Wesley Says He & Nina Dobrev 'Definitely Clashed' on 'Vampire Diaries' Set But They're Really Close Now

Paul Wesley Says He & Nina Dobrev 'Definitely Clashed' on 'Vampire Diaries' Set But They're Really Close Now

Earlier this summer, Nina Dobrev revealed that when The Vampire Diaries first started, she and Paul Wesley didn’t get along at all – and he just confirmed it this week.

Chatting with ET following the Tell Me A Story panel at the 2019 Summer TCA Tour, Paul says that he and Nina definitely clashed.

“What [Nina] said is absolutely true. Nina is my really good friend now, we talk all the time and it’s true. When we first started shooting The Vampire Diaries, we totally clashed. We didn’t [get along]. Creatively, it just wasn’t in sync,” Paul shared.

He continues that “the fans would never have known that. We’re basically driving each other insane and then after a few seasons, we developed this absolute mutual love.”

Paul added, “I actually think my best friendships always come from this evolution. And so now, I just adore her, she adores me and I talk to her more than most of the other cast members.”
