Danielle Campbell and Paul Wesley are starring in a new show together called Tell Me A Story, which isn’t unlike The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

The two actors opened up to IBT in a recent interview and shared just why their fans from Originals and TVD will enjoy it.

“It’s dark and sexy, like Originals,” Danielle says. “But it’s completely new characters, completely new story.”

She adds, “It’s present day [and] it’s New York City. So, I don’t think that there’s too much that’ll relate to it in that component, but I think they’re gonna love it. I think they’re gonna love it a lot.”

Paul agreed with Danielle‘s points, saying that the new series, “is like a slightly more sophisticated, mature, adult, thematic, that isn’t as soap opera-esque, I suppose.”

“I think that my fans will enjoy the fact that there is like a hint of the supernatural, but it’s actually not there. There’s nothing. It’s just the folklore’s there,” he added.

Tell Me A Story airs Thursdays on CBS All Access.

At the end of Vampire Diaires, Stefan Salvatore sacrificed his life for his brother Damon, so there’s no possible way he could come back to life on Legacies, right?

Well, we mean, Danielle Campbell‘s Originals character, Davina, DID come back to that show – so anything really is possible.

However, Paul Wesley isn’t really feeling a return for the third series of the franchise.

“Absolutely, 100 percent not. Stefan is forever dead,” he told TV Guide.

Danielle, though, is up for a possible return: “I will forever love my vampire-werewolf-witch family,” she shared. “They’re always so dear and near to me and I love Julie [Plec] to death.”

Stars Danielle Rose Russell, Matthew Davis and Kaylee Bryant also opened up about the characters they’d love to see return in one way or another.

For Danielle, it would be dad Klaus and Matthew picked Katherine Pierce or Damon.

For Kaylee, it would be Bonnie, played by Kat Graham.

“I just feel like Bonnie, throughout The Vampire Diaries, was in a similar vein [as Josie],” she shared. “Just constantly doing the spell to get everyone out of that situation and looking after all of her friends, and I just feel like they could hang out over a good cup of tea and just talk about life.”

Legacies premieres TONIGHT, October 25th on The CW.

The two stars hit the red carpet on Tuesday (October 23) to attend the premiere of the new CBS All Access show at Metrograph in New York City.

Also in attendance at the event were co-stars James Wolk, Billy Magnussen, Kim Cattrall, Dania Ramirez, Sam Jaeger, Davi Santos, Zabryna Guevara, Dorian Missick, and Kurt Yaeger.

Ugly Betty actress Becki Newton was also at the premiere.

Tell Me A Story takes the world’s most beloved fairy tales and reimagines them as a dark and twisted psychological thriller. Set in modern-day New York City, the first season of this serialized drama interweaves “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Hansel and Gretel” into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder. The first season will debut on October 31.

The two Vampire Diaries stars reunited this week when Paul surprised Nina by coming to a taping of her new sitcom, Fam.

In the video that Nina shared on Instagram Stories, she actually ran to give Paul a hug when she spotted him in the audience after the curtain call and it was so cute!

We love that Nina and Paul are still close after all these years!

Paul Wesley and Danielle Campbell will both be returning to television this fall in a new show together, and it just so happens to be created by the creator of The Vampire Diaries!
