Shay Mitchell is joined by the cast of her new show You while speaking to the press at a panel on Thursday (July 26) in Los Angeles.
The 31-year-old former Pretty Little Liars actress was joined by her co-stars Penn Badgley, Elizabeth Lail, and John Stamos while opening up about the upcoming show.
The series doesn’t premiere until September 9, but Lifetime has already confirmed that a second season has been ordered.
You, which also stars Kathryn Gallagher and Hari Nef, will air as a Netflix original outside of the United States.

You, set to premiere on September 9, is a 21st century love story that asks, “What would you do for love?” When a brilliant bookstore manager crosses paths with an aspiring writer, his answer becomes clear: anything. Penn Badgley speaks about his movie Cymbeline while attending a panel held at the Apple Store on Thursday evening (March 12) in the Soho neighborhood of New York City.
While the 28-year-old actor currently is starring on the NBC series The Slap, he says he will never do television again after this.
“It’s going to end up being my swan song for television because I don’t think I can do any more,” Penn said.
“It was a wink and a nod to my role in Gossip Girl,” Penn added. “I’m playing a guy who’s on a TV show, a hit TV show, and he’s also the front-singer in a band. So I was like, ‘Alright, this is so close to home that if anybody else plays it, it’s a joke anyway.’”
Penn Badgley made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live! on Wednesday (March 11) and was asked by a viewer who his best and worst on screen kiss has been throughout his career.
The 28-year-old The Slap actor has kissed many leading ladies including Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Jessica Szohr, Emma Stone, and more.
“I’d say best…I’ll say it was Blake, because we actually had a relationship at the time,” Penn said about his Gossip Girl co-star, who he also dated. His worst kiss ended up being Blake as well! “Maybe Blake after we broke up,” he joked.
