The 29-year-old pregnant Dancing with the Stars pro revealed that she is currently 14 weeks along in her pregnancy.
“Chillin at almost 14 weeks,” Peta captioned the Instagram photo that she posted on Saturday afternoon (July 2).
To confirm the pregnancy just days ago, Peta posted a picture of her fiance Maksim Chmerkovskiy cradling the baby bump. See it in the gallery below! “We couldn’t be happier. Baby Chmerkovskiy is coming,” she captioned that pic.
While the news was first reported last month, this is the first time the couple has spoken publicly and confirmed they’re expecting a baby.
“I can’t wait to provide this baby with the tools to become a beautiful, kind person,” Maksim told People. “And they’ll have the best sneaker collection.”
“I was so sick,” Peta added about her morning sickness, which she sustained while competing and winning Dancing with the Stars.
“I’m looking forward to nurturing something and just having the baby be the center of our world. I’m looking forward to putting all our energy into this beautiful soul,” Maksim added.
“The timing is perfect, actually,” Peta continued. “I’ll have the baby in January and then I’ll still have about six months to prepare for the wedding.” Maksim said, “The baby will make a wonderful addition to the wedding party. A wonderful, tiny addition.”
Nyle also mentioned how amazed he was that DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba took the time to learn sign language.
“It was really very touching and, you know, she actually took the time to learn sign language and we don’t really see that often in this world, so that really meant a lot to me and it really touched me and it really hit me right at the heart,” Nyle explained.

Team Redefining Dance placed third in the finals on Monday, with 57 points out of a total 60 from their redemption dance and freestyle performance.
Nyle and Peta danced a cha-cha and tango fusion, to “Summer” by Calvin Harris. They earned 30 points.
“Peta Jane Murgatroyd, thank you is an understatement. There are so many things I want to express gratitude, but thank you for embracing the journey with me,” Nyle extended his thanks to his pro partner on Instagram.
He added, “Thank you for helping me tell my story through dancing: What it really means to be Deaf. Thank you for inspiring millions of [Deaf] lives with me. Last but not the least.., thank you for believing in me.”
