“With social media, it’s definitely brought this warped idea of reality,” she shared. “I have friends who are the most beautiful women on the planet, and we all get on Instagram and feel like we are not doing enough.”
Phoebe adds, “I think it’s important for young girls to understand that it’s not just them, it’s on every level.”

Phoebe Tonkin steps out in a chic Chanel dress for the 2018 AACTA Awards held at The Star on Wednesday (December 5) in Sydney, Australia.
The 29-year-old actress wore a blue ribbon with her gorgeous dress, which raises awareness for Manus Island and Nauru Islands, the locations where asylum seekers are held at Australia’s offshore immigration detention centers.
The ribbon represents Phoebe’s stance and a petition calling for #KidsOffNauru and an end to offshore detention.
During the awards, Phoebe‘s show, Safe Harbour won Glendyn Ivin an award for best directing.
You might be a huge Klaroline shipper and love Haylijah to pieces, but you still have to stop and admit that Klaus’ relationship with Hayley on The Originals had turned into one of the sweetest on television.
During the series last night, after fighting with Hope, Klaus headed to the bayou to carve Hayley’s name into THE tree and while there, gave us all the feels to the point of us crying our eyes out over it.
Klaus admits that while he should’ve been there for her and Hope, he was scared “of this very moment.”
He also confesses his own hopes for Hope, he wants her to live and grow to be “as strong and as beautiful a woman as her mother.”
“I don’t know what to do, and I really wish that you were here to tell me…little wolf.”
Hayley may be popping up in the future on The Originals, despite tonight’s episode being her funeral.
Phoebe Tonkin shared with TV Guide that there’s more to come with her character, especially when it involves Hope.
“Without giving too much away, my final scene [of filming] was with my daughter Hope,” she confirms. “Hayley’s journey throughout all five seasons was to protect her child, and it was nice to wrap up the show that way too.”
Elsewhere in the episode, “God’s Gonna Trouble the Water”, Ivy (Shiva Kalaiselvan) reveals some startling news to Klaus (Joseph Morgan) about the dark magic that’s been keeping him away from his family; and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) turns to some unexpected allies to save Antoinette’s life.
