Phoebe Tonkin Wants The Next Generation Not To Feel Guilty About Speaking Out About Sexual Assault

Phoebe Tonkin is recounting her own sexual assault story on Twitter today.

After the launch of the Twitter initiative, The Originals star joins countless others in opening up about their stories.

Phoebe took it one step further, reminding us beyond the sexual assault she experienced, she was also subject to slut shaming afterwards.

“Left phoneless and walletless in the dark on the side of a road, picked up by 2 guys, had to fend off the same thing again by them #metoo.”

“No one is immune to assault or harassment. No one.”

Phoebe adds, “Slut shaming and victim shaming is the same thing. I was a teenager and that type of story was accepted by the girls as normal, and used as a way to ruin my reputation and spread as gossip by the boys. That there is the problem.”

Phoebe Tonkin Volunteers Herself, Britt Robertson & Shelley Hennig For 'Hocus Pocus' Remake

Phoebe Tonkin might have just made the news about the Hocus Pocus remake a lot better.

After news broke about Disney’s plans for a sequel film of the hit Halloween classic movie, The Originals actress straight up volunteered herself, Britt Robertson and Shelley Hennig for the movie.

Phoebe, Britt and Shelley starred as three young witches on The Secret Circle, so the concept of magic is no stranger to them at all.

The new TV movie will have a completely new cast and will be written by Scarlett Lacey and David Kirschner, who produced the original, is set to executive produce.

Hocus Pocus is set to air 16 times during Freeform’s annual 13 Nights of Halloween line-up.

Anyone else good with this? Because we are!

Hayley's New Love Interest on 'The Originals' is a 'Flirtatious Chef'

Hayley's New Love Interest on 'The Originals' is a 'Flirtatious Chef'

Hayley has a brand new romance when The Originals returns for its final season.

According to TVLine, it may or may not be a character named Declan, who is a “flirtatious Irish chef with a hot temper to match his killer charm.”

Declan apparently doesn’t know anything about New Orlean’s mystical side — like how could you miss that?!

He “starts out with no knowledge of New Orleans’ supernatural shenanigans – until he’s introduced to a famous vampire family by the woman he loves.”

Hmmm — sounds like Declan is definitely Hayley’s new guy.

Another new character for the final season includes Antoinette, a free-spirited “old-school vampire” whose charm and wit mask her dark history.
