The 20-year-old musician and face of Poppy Appeal 2012 launched the Royal British Legion’s annual fundraising drive with Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon.
Earlier in the week, Pixie visited London’s RAF Northolt to see forces’ families and was also treated to a demonstration by the Queen’s Colour Squadron RAF regiment.
“What struck me the most was how young they all were. It’s amazing the selfless commitment — their bravery is beyond words. That’s why I’m standing shoulder to shoulder with our brave boys and girls,” Pixie shared with The Sun.
She added (via Belfast Telegraph), “It was amazing, I have never done anything like that before, to meet the soldiers and their families and the children – and just the sacrifices they make and how important the money raised is to help them.”

Pixie Lott wraps herself in a chic animal print dress as she arrives at the 2012 Attitude Magazine Awards held at One Mayfair on Tuesday evening (October 16) in London.
The 20-year-old musician just returned from New York City where she was working on her next album.
“I honestly feel so lucky and grateful for you cats! Seeing you at Heathrow this early welcoming us home :O,” Pixie tweeted.
She added, “And to the amazing cats who welcomed us in NY! Every cat is the best everywhere, I’m so excited for you to hear the new music ahhhh.”

The 20-year-old musician landed at JFK Airport early Thursday morning (September 20) in New York City.
“Adored some #lfw shows, gigs, studio sessions, seeing @Carlanella, Sach @Georgie_gw +@Joceesmusic these past few days :D Now off to NYC,” Pixie tweeted.
She recently told The Daily Mail, “I’m going to New York in a couple of weeks to finish it [the new album] off. It’s more of a souly motown thing so I am really excited about it.”
