The upcoming live action movie stars Becky G as Trini (Yellow Ranger), RJ Cyler as Billy (Blue Ranger), Naomi Scott as Kimberly (Pink Ranger), Ludi Lin as Zack (Black Ranger), and Dacre Montgomery as Jason (Red Ranger).
“From the very beginning, diversity was a very important part of the whole process,” director Dean Israelite shared with EW about the actors.
He added, “We switched all of the races around, but we made sure that the essence of each of those characters are who they were in the original show, and this really will be an origin story of those characters.”
Elizabeth Banks will star as villain Rita Repulsa in the movie, hitting theaters in 2017.
Ludi Lin shows off his skills on a power wheel while hanging out on Saturday afternoon (February 27) in Vancouver, Canada.
The 28-year-old Power Rangers actor was joined by a group of friends.

In case you didn’t know, Ludi is set to play the Black Ranger in the upcoming Power Rangers reboot.

Stars RJ Cyler, Dacre Montgomery, and Ludi Lin have all taken to social media to share some hot shirtless gym photos as they prep for filming.
“Last training session today! Massive shoutout and a huge thank you to the guys down @waimaclub Phil, Andrew and Graham,” Dacre captioned an Instagram video. “It’s been an incredible journey and I’ve come so far in the last few months and still have so much to learn and space to grow. I feel honoured to have been trained by you guys, such an inspiration! Time to get cracking #redranger”

The 18-year-old singer and Empire guest star has scored the role of the Yellow Ranger in the upcoming Power Rangers movie, as confirmed by the movie’s Instagram.
She joins Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, RJ Cyler as the Blue Ranger, and Dacre Montgomery will take on the Red Ranger role.
Dean Israelite is directing the movie, which will hit theaters in January 2017.

The 20-year-old Me and Earl and the Dying Girl actor has officially been cast in the upcoming Power Rangers movie as Billy, the Blue Ranger!
“Welcome #RJCyler to the team as the #BlueRanger in the upcoming @PowerRangersMovie!” the official Instagram account revealed.
In case you missed it, Ludi Lin will portray the Black Ranger, Naomi Scott will be the Pink Ranger, and Dacre Montgomery will take on the Red Ranger role.
Now we’re just waiting to hear about the Yellow Ranger!

Meet Ludi Lin!
The up and coming actor was just cast as the Black Ranger, Zack, for the upcoming Power Rangers movie, opposite Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger and Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger.
The film announced the big news on Instagram, welcoming Ludi to the cast and to Twitter as well.
“Birdie says it’s about time to start Tweeting,” Ludi shared as his first tweet, linking to his Instagram account.
The Power Rangers movie is set to open in theaters in January 2017.
