We have a sad, but expected, update on the live action Powerpuff Girls series that was in the works at The CW.
It has been revealed that the project, which was undergoing a redo, has fully been scrapped at the network, according to TV Line.
A few other projects that were in development are also being scrapped by the network under it’s new ownership and management.

The highly anticipated live action Powerpuff Girls has not been picked up to series just yet!
It was just revealed that the potential new show, starring Dove Cameron, Chloe Bennet and Yana Perrault, will have it’s pilot reworked and repiloted off-cycle, JJJ can confirm.
Dove Cameron is playing the role of Bubbles in the new Powerpuff Girls pilot and it looks like she’s blowing bubbles in this new set of photos!
The 25-year-old actress and singer was spotted in costume while filming more of the flashback scenes on Monday (April 12) in Atlanta, Ga.
The first photos from set were revealed last week and there was backlash on social media when fans saw the costumes the girls were wearing. Many commented that the costumes were very plain and that the fabric wrinkled so easily.
The CW has now released an official look at the costumes that the girls will really be wearing on the show and sources revealed the other photos, as well as these new ones, were for a flashback scene.
