The more we hear about the epic Pretty Little Liars series finale, the more we get excited about it.
The cast and crew recently teased a lot of tidbits about what fans can expect.
“It feels like a movie and it was written as if it was a movie,” showrunner Marlene King said (via Teen Vogue). “I hope you guys are satisfied with this huge twist.”
OK, time to guess! What do you think the big twist is? Let us know in the comments below!
In case you missed it, one cast member wasn’t totally sold on the finale script at first!
The series finale script for Pretty Little Liars didn’t go over well with the entire cast.
In fact, it seems like the cast members all had very different reactions to it!
“We were all crying,” Janel Parrish told EW about the final table read.
Andrea Parker said, “Most of us were just, mouth agape.
Meanwhile, Tyler Blackburn was “stoked” and Shay Mitchell was “blown away.”
“I read it and I was like, I don’t buy this,” Ian Harding admitted. “It was until we had shot and wrapped… I was driving home on my last day, slightly teary-eyed, and it landed on me, who and what this whole thing was, and I kind of went, [gasps], like, in the car, in traffic.”
Pretty Little Liars returns for the final episodes on Tuesday, April 18 @ 8PM ob Freeform.
Pretty Little Liars is back on the small screen in about three weeks and it has us all wondering — will all the Liars get their happy ending?
Showrunner I. Marlene King and executive producer Joseph Dougherty teased a bit of the finale episodes during PaleyFest this weekend.
“All the end games will be the end games, but they’re not going to get there easily,” Marlene shared.
“Without hurdles, the prize is not worthy. You have to earn your happy ending,” Joseph added.
Star Shay Mitchell also spoke about the final episodes, which will give fans everything they want.
“I’m very excited for the show to air and to see the fans’ reactions,” she shared. “I won’t have to hold in any secrets anymore…the fans can expect to be completely shocked, but happy that all their questions will be answered.”
Marlene added, “I think that when shows end there’s always a group of people who aren’t happy about it, but I think the majority of people will be happy with the ending. We all worked so hard on it with the goal of satisfying fans with a proper ending to a show which has meant so much to so many people.”
We already know that Aria and Ezra are the ones getting married in the final ten episodes of Pretty Little Liars.
(She already said yes, and Lucy Hale also called out Ian Harding for THAT one pic, too)
But what about a Haleb wedding? Would anyone be on board for that? Tyler Blackburn is!
“I think he would be willing to [marry Hanna on the spot]. Yeah, absolutely. I think that … they’re just meant for each other,” he shared at PaleyFest this weekend.
But you know, maybe handle all this A.D. stuff first? That’s a good idea.
