The 24-year-old actor currently stars as the loveable, yet mysterious Toby on the ABC Family hit Pretty Little Liars.
“This relationship has always been up and down but they really love each other,” Keegan told JJ about Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Toby’s relationship. “I’m pleased that Troian and I have created an on-screen romance that causes fans to go into a deep, dark emotional hole where they fight and triumphant yells of victory when they make up. For now, I can say that Toby is still tortured by his past and I hope that true love will prevail.”
The 25-year-old actor chatted with TVGuide after the summer finale. Check out what he had to say:
On the reveal: “I was super excited because I know a lot of the fans want Aria and Ezra to be together and be happy. But that makes for really boring television as well as boring acting choices. So, I was excited where it could go, because also I really trust and love the writers. They were able to not take it someplace really tacky, and I have faith that they’re going to justify it in a way that it’s not, ‘Oh man, he’s evil!’ or ‘He’s crazy!’ Because that sounds like a really stupid idea.”
On Aria and Ezra: “There’s obviously still love there. There’s still something there, but the situation is strained now. They were apart and Ezra’s dealing with — apart from some shady dealings — he’s really destroyed by the fact that this child he thought was his son is not. So I don’t think he’s hot to trot, like, ‘Oh, yay. Just as it was before.’”
On the Halloween special: “I can definitely say that I’m in it. I’m going to be in the area of Ravenswood. To what extent, I can’t really say, and I really don’t wanna say because I’m really happy with the Halloween episode. It’s going to read more of the thriller, and actually, some parts are downright scary. Some parts are horror film-esque. There are two particular scenes that I saw in the dailies and they looked pretty damn creepy. And Ravenswood is just naturally creepy anyways, so it’s gonna be a nutty time.”
The Pretty Little Liars take a trip to Ravenswood in this new still from tonight’s summer finale.
In “Now You See Me, Now You Don’t,” an intriguing riddle from “A” has the girls heading to Ravenswood, where they are surrounded by some familiar faces. During a very special magic show, one Liar pulls a disappearing act, leaving the other three scrambling to make sure she hasn’t succumbed to “A’s” tricks.
But before they can hightail it out of Ravenswood, they make a shocking discovery that proves that everything they thought they knew about “A” and the “A” team might be wrong. With this discovery, the Liars may just have started “World War A”.
Meanwhile, Hanna (Ashley Benson) and her mother’s joyous reunion is cut short when “A’s” sights are set on a new target. And Toby (Keegan Allen) uncovers some surprising information about Wren.

The 23-year-old Pretty Little Liars star recently opened up about their relationship now that Aria is dating Jake (Ryan Guzman) and Ezra is reaching back out to her.
“For the first time, [Aria] likes a guy other than Ezra and wants to make it work,” Lucy told TVGuide. “But I think Aria always senses it’s just not the same. There’s always that one person. Now [Maggie], who ruined her relationship, might be leaving, so she sees the light at the end of the tunnel.”
Lucy added, “Ezra is dealing with a lot and he starts to reach out to her for help with what he’s going through. When Ezra reaches out she’s like, ‘Oh sh–, I’m still in love with you.’”
