Kit Connor to Make Broadway Debut in 'Romeo+Juliet' Opposite Rachel Zegler!

Heartstopper star Kit Connor is set to make his Broadway debut in Romeo+Juliet opposite Rachel Zegler, who will also be making her Broadway debut!

The show is expected to open in the Fall with tickets on sale next month. It will be a limited engagement, meaning the show will only run for a set amount of time.

Here’s the official logline for the show: “The youth are f-cked. Left to their own devices in their parents’ world of violent ends, an impulsive pair of star-crossed lovers hurtle towards their inescapable fate. The intoxicating high of passion quickly descends into a brutal chaos that can only end one way.”

The production will be directed by Sam Gold, who shared, “With the presidential election coming up in November, I felt like making a show this fall that celebrates youth and hope, and unleashes the anger young people feel about the world they are inheriting.” The show will also feature movement by Tony Award winner Sonya Tayeh.

Another fun fact about the production: Jack Antonoff, well known for producing Taylor Swift‘s recent albums, will be writing original music for the show!

Rachel Zegler is set to portray Snow White in the live action Disney film, and she revealed that her version of the character is more of a “leader” than the version we’ve seen in the animated classic.

She told Collider, “Then something that kind of emerged was this leader within her that I was so happy that the writers wanted her to be, and the fact that it’s born out of her upbringing, but she finds it within herself throughout the course of the film and throughout the people that love her in the film and show their love for her. Marc Webb and I kind of called it her third eye opening.”

Rachel Zegler in 'Snow White': Disney Reveals First Photo After Release Date Change

Even though we have to wait an extra year for the new Snow White movie, we’re so excited that we’re finally getting a first look at the film!

Rachel Zegler is starring in the live-action musical remake of the classic Disney movie.

The photo sees Rachel in Snow White’s iconic costume surrounded by all seven of the dwarfs – Dopey, Grumpy, Sneezy, Bashful, Happy, Sleepy and Doc.

The film is directed by Marc Webb, produced by Marc Platt, and features original songs by Oscar, Grammy, and Tony winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

It was just announced that Disney has pushed the release date of Snow White from March 22, 2024 to March 21, 2025, so we’ll be waiting an entire extra year to see the movie. Some other projects were also just pushed back.
