Another fairy JJJ just can’t get enough of is Iridessa, the light fairy.
Voiced by Raven Symone, 26, Iridessa plays an important part in the new Secret of the Wings as one of Tink’s amazing friends.
“I think with every Tinker Bell movie there’s a message about empowerment, that if you pick the right friends, and you have your family by your side, you can go as far as you want to, as long as you trust each other,” Raven shared in a recent Q&A. “Whatever Tinker Bell pulls her friends into, she knows that they have her back. So definitely, the message is about empowerment and friendship.”
Raven added about why so many young girls identify with Iridessa, “I think that depends on who they are…If you don’t connect with Iridessa you’ll connect with Rosetta or Fawn, because they all exude their own personal charisma. Iridessa is very straight to the point. She likes her I’s dotted and her T’s crossed. She’s a no nonsense type of girl. But at the same time she can let loose and have fun with the rest of the girls.”
Check out another video with celeb hair stylist Ken Paves to see how to grab Iridessa’s bun. And we’re also giving away another Bluray!
The newest Disney fairy, Periwinkle, is almost too cute — even down to her frosty up do.
Lucy Hale, who voices Peri in Secret of the Wings, even wants to steal the style — and thankfully JJJ got a first hand look at how celeb hairstylist Ken Paves created the magical style.
“I really wanted to understand her movement,” Ken dished about creating Peri’s one-of-a-kind look. “One of the things was how the hair floated a little bit on the character. I wanted to see how she would move because she has a lot of energy. I wanted to research how the fairies move around, and know the angles at which they’re illustrated and what we see from them.
Ken added, “It was really kind of getting in touch with my own inner child again and wanting Periwinkle to be as magical as I would want her to appear when I would see her. So I spent days sketching and researching and shaping her hair and really just trying to get the right proportion on her. To still keep it really feminine and kind of dainty, but yet spunky. I think we really nailed that.”
Even more exciting news — we’re giving away a Secret of the Wings Bluray Combo Pack (out TODAY)! All you have to do is tell us what you like best about Peri’s style! Check out how to enter inside…

The movie follows Ralph (John C. Reilly) who, for decades, has been overshadowed by Fix-It Felix, Jr. (Jack McBrayer), the good-guy star of their game who always gets to save the day. Tired of playing the role of a bad guy, Ralph takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a journey across the arcade through multiple generations of video games to prove he’s got what it takes to be a hero.
On his quest, Ralph meets tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) from the first-person action game Hero’s Duty, and feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (Sarah Silverman) from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, who may just be his first real friend.
But everything changes when a deadly enemy is unleashed, threatening the entire arcade and Vanellope herself. Ralph finally gets his chance to save the day—but can he do it in time?
