The former star of the Disney Channel series recently opened up in a rare interview about his time on the show, his co-stars and if he would be interested to return for a reboot.
Aubrey Anderson-Emmons and Jesse Tyler Ferguson stepped out for the opening night of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie at Ahmanson Theatre on Friday night (January 21) in Los Angeles.
The former Modern Family co-stars have of course remained close after the show, and had a father-daughter date night while out for the musical’s opening, hosted by Center Theatre Group.
The cast caught up with each other and learned what they’re up to nowadays, and reminisced about the days of filming their Disney Channel show.
Amy shared that she just finished her second year in law school, and they all inquired about her law studies.
During the chat, they also talked about Project Heal, an organization that helps people recover from eating disorders.

The now 33-year-old actor opened up about why he thinks the show ended and if he’d be open to a reunion or reboot of the series.
“It can be a lot more expensive to shoot a single-camera show,” Raviv points out for a possible reason why the show ended only after 40 some episodes. A single-cam series shoots five days a week.
Plus, those special effects were definitely a factor: “I know that we were just a much more expensive show than what they were doing at the time. For a network, a lot of it is business and trying to figure out.”
However, it looks like Raviv is definitely up for a reunion or reboot of any kind, to get some sort of closure to that cliffhanger.
“I’m hoping that it means there’s still room for us to go and explore what that ending was,” he adds. “I’d like to think that Phil is still out there somewhere, trying to find his way back to Keely and his friends here. And with time travel, time doesn’t really exist in the same way, so anything’s possible…I would have no ill will towards a reboot. I think that they’re really fun.”

Aly and AJ Michalka are stunning sisters inside the AMO Ferragamo Launch Party on Tuesday night (February 6) in New York City.
The two musicians performed at the event hosted by the face of the new fragrance, Suki Waterhouse.
Aly also had the chance to reunite with former Phil of the Future co-star Raviv Ullman, who was at the party with longtime friend and actress Mitzi Akaha.
“Big [love] for these two ol pals and the great music they’re making,” Raviv shared on Instagram with a cute pic.
He adds, “They’ve grown way taller and cooler than I. At least we’re all equally pink.”
During a new interview, Aly opened up on how much she keeps in touch with the cast and crew.
“I’m really good friends with one of the producers who directed and wrote a lot of the episodes,” she says. “I’ve been close to him since I was fourteen.”
Aly adds, “Raviv and I keep in touch; we’re Instagram buddies. Whenever I’m in New York or he’s in LA, we try to see each other and get lunch.”
And what about a reunion of any sorts: “I mean, sure! I guess reunions are a big thing now.”
“I wouldn’t be opposed to it. It’s a funny idea. I have no idea what they’d do necessarily with the storyline, but yeah, sure.”
Aly is in, we’re in. Let’s get this thing going now.
