R5 Are Already Thinking About Their Next Album

R5 Are Already Thinking About Their Next Album

Sometime Last Night hasn’t been out for a full year, but R5 are already thinking about their next album, and JJJ is all for it!

Speaking with Daily Telegraph, the band — Rydel, Ross, Rocky, and Riker Lynch and Ellington Ratliff — spoke about looking ahead to their next record.

“Right now we are in the inspiration phase, listening to a lot of records figuring out what we want the next record to sound like really,” Ross shared. “And hopefully in the States run (tour) we will have a bus with a studio in it so we can use that and start the process.”

Riker added about actually recording some in Australia, “I would love to. We talked about going to London to do some writing but one of my favourite album’s was recorded in Australia, McFly’s Radioactive, so that would be so cool. I love the vibe here and that would be so fun.”

Rydel Lynch and Ellington Ratliff continue on their cuteness tour with this new shot from Instagram.

The couple, and R5 bandmates, shared the image after wrapping up their three sold out shows on the Sometime Last Night tour.

“thank you for all the love japan. I FREAKING LOVE YOU!” Rydel captioned.

During their trip, Rydel and Ellington also stopped by the Owl Village in Harajuku, where they met an owl named Bob.

“practiced our meditation with Bob the owl..that’s his actual name I didn’t just come up with that. If I WERE to name this owl for the purpose of this post I would’ve gone with something with some pizzaz like hootie or whatever but his name is bob,” Ellington wrote.

Riker & Rocky Lynch Dish On Their New Year's Week Shows In Vegas (Exclusive)

R5 are less than a week away from performing their first show at The Venetian in Las Vegas.

The band — Riker, Ross and Rocky, and Rydel Lynch, and Ellington Ratliff — will not only be celebrating the coming new year, but also Ross‘ 20th birthday!

JJJ had the chance to speak with Riker and Rocky and got the scoop on the shows, their holiday plans and more. Check it:

JJJ: We know your family usually goes back to Colorado for the holidays. Are you going to miss that this year?
Riker Lynch:
We are actually still going to go back for Christmas and then we just fly to Vegas from there. It’s gonna be a great holiday with those 2 places this year.

JJJ: Who is the best skier out of the five (and Ryland) of you all?
Rocky Lynch:
[Definitely] Ryland.

JJJ: What’s the best thing about the holidays for you?
Riker:
I love making festive drinks like Surfing Santas, Pain Killers, A Little Naughty. I like to consider myself a mixologist (laughs) That and obviously spending time with the family. I like to take a couple days and turn off all connections with the rest of the world for a bit. It’s refreshing.

R5 Take Vegas Road Trip For 'Wild Hearts' Music Video - Watch Now!

R5 Take Vegas Road Trip For 'Wild Hearts' Music Video - Watch Now!

R5 get the party started in Las Vegas in their new music video for “Wild Hearts”.

The band — Riker, Ross and Rocky, and Rydel Lynch, and Ellington Ratliff — just dropped the vid with LiveNation, ahead of their holiday concerts in Vegas.

“‘Wild Hearts’ is all about living life to the fullest,” Riker shared. “Lyrically, we wanted it to represent how we live our lives; being spontaneous, being in the moment and just ready for anything, going brave into the night and never slowing down.”

He added about the concept, “We wanted to make a video that had something that was really happening in real life. We didn’t really know what was going to come out of it, but when we got close to making the trip, “Wild Hearts” just felt like the right song to put to it. The whole weekend was full of celebrations.”

Ross Lynch: 'You Had To Bribe Me To Get On Stage When I Was Younger'

Ross Lynch: 'You Had To Bribe Me To Get On Stage When I Was Younger'

Ross Lynch in a red suit and Riker Lynch in a striking silver one is now our favorite new thing.

The two brothers and R5 musicians opened up to YSB Now about music, fans and more. Check it:

Ross on why he’s not tweeting everything: “I’m known for being outgoing, but at times I can be really introverted. Sometimes I can have a million words to say and then other times, I don’t want to talk at all and I just want to listen. It’s like what Jimi Hendrix says: ‘Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens.’ Sometimes I’ve got the knowledge; sometimes I just want to learn.”

Riker on the fans: “It’s kind of crazy and it humbles you in a weird way and I think that’s because we aren’t big-headed people. We’re very proud of what we do and we believe in ourselves, but it’s crazy to think that people will mark their calendars, save up to buy tickets, and then get there so early to get good seats on the day of the show.”

Ross on the love of music: “There are artists whose reason for changing their music is because they want to be cool. It’s not because they love that type of music. With us, I can tell you genuinely – I love Led Zeppelin! And I love The Beatles and Queen and all those classic rock bands that are so iconic. That’s the reason that we’re playing the music that we are.”

Ross on having stage fright: “When I was younger, there was no way I was getting up there. You had to bribe me with all sorts of things! In our basement, I was a stud – I would perform for everybody! But when it came to actually getting onstage in front of people I didn’t know, I was the worst. And I guess over the years, doing it over and over and over again, I just got really comfortable. And now I don’t even flinch before going out onstage. It’s almost like second nature.”

Riker on getting the band together: “I remember that moment when Ellington did the first drum fill into the song and then we started playing. I remember having the biggest smile on my face. It was the craziest, most excited I’ve ever felt in my life. And something just sparked right there, and subconsciously I knew that something special had just happened.”
