On working on The Newsroom: I was just able to watch the best of the best, do what they do. I would come to set nervous about working with these people, and slowly learned that we’re all here together and in it for the same thing.
On coming to The Originals: I had my first few scenes with [Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies] and we all got along really well, and worked well together on set. The reaction to the character was good, and towards the end of Season Two they said ‘Ok, we want you here for a while longer.’
On Freya: Take the supernatural thing out of it and you still have this really strong woman who’s going through stuff. She has family issues and she has insecurities, but she also just kicks ass.
The Originals actress just rang in the big 2-1 with a ton of gal pals, including her co-stars Phoebe Tonkin and Riley Voelkel, as well as show writer Carina Adly MacKenzie, production assistant Tory Fay Wells, and costumer Abby Coyne.
“Truly the most wonderful night. Thanks for making me feel so special. Will never forget it,” Danielle captioned a cute group shot on Instagram.
Phoebe posted a funny Instagram photo of Danielle and the waiter, writing, “‘You’re getting carded!’ We’re all getting carded! #danielles21st @thedaniellecampbell.”

Madison Pettis and Tahj Mowry are just two of the names sending their thanks to veterans nationwide in The Boot Campaign’s #Unselfies4Heroes initiative.
The two actors — plus The Goldbergs‘ Hayley Orrantia and The Originals‘ Riley Voelkel took “unselfie” selfies to raise monies and shed the light on veterans for the national holiday.

According to TVLine.com, the 25-year-old actress’s character Freya will stay in the forefront for season three.
“Freya is going to stick around and help raise [Hope],” executive producer Michael Narducci told the site. “She’s allowing Rebekah the chance to go have a life by sticking around. I’m really excited to see what role this new sister is going to have in the family and how she may play off of both of her brothers. I’m really excited about that family dynamic.”
