Jughead's Mom & Sister Join Season 3 of 'Riverdale' - Find Out Who Was Cast!

KJ Apa watches on as Lili Reinhart speaks at the Riverdale panel during New York Comic-Con at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (October 7) in New York City.

The two co-stars were joined by their on-screen parents Luke Perry and Madchen Amick, as well as creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

During the Riverdale panel, it was announced that we will get to meet Jughead’s mom and sister in season three!

Gina Gershon will play Jughead’s mother Gladys Jones, who runs the salvage yard (chop shop) that doubles as a Serpent compound, and the Serpents all snap to attention when she gives them an order. A Serpent with a GED, she acts as Fagin to a crew of teenaged car parts thieves.

Trinity Likins will play his sister Jellybean “JB” Jones, who is wise beyond her years, and her favorite bands are Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath. Jellybean lives with her biker mom in Toledo where they run scams to make ends meet. And like mother like daughter: Jellybean — who goes by JB now — is quite the little con artist herself.

Who Is The 'Gargoyle King' On 'Riverdale'? Showrunner Dishes On The New Villain

Who Is The 'Gargoyle King' On 'Riverdale'? Showrunner Dishes On The New Villain

There’s a new villain coming to Riverdale this season and it’s none other than the Gargoyle King!

You’re probably saying “Who?” right now, but don’t worry. Showrunner Robert Aguirre-Sacasa revealed just who the Gargoyle King actually is in a new interview.

“A mysterious Dungeons and Dragons-like game has surfaced in the town and it’s called ‘Griffins and Gargoyles,’” Roberto explained. “The parents of Riverdale are terrified of it because the game is affecting their children.”

He adds, “One of our central mysteries starts when the bodies of two students are found in the woods and it’s discovered that they were playing Griffins and Gargoyles and that the main villain of the game — the Gargoyle King — may also be stalking the streets of Riverdale.”

Here’s hoping the gang can bring down the Gargoyle King by the season’s end again.

Riverdale premieres next week on Wednesday, October 10th on The CW.

Archie Isn't The Only Character Getting A Serpent Tattoo on 'Riverdale' in Season 3

Archie Isn't The Only Character Getting A Serpent Tattoo on 'Riverdale' in Season 3

In the teaser trailer for Riverdale‘s season three, we all saw that massive “S” tattoo that Archie was sporting – but he’s not the only one that could be getting some ink for the upcoming season.

According to showerunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, there are a few other main characters that might be sporting a tattoo just like his.

“It’s not what the fans think — actually I’m not sure what they think,” he shared about Archie’s tattoo. “It’s a protection that Jughead can extend to his friend, and that’s the origins of that tattoo.”

But what about Betty, Jughead’s Serpent Queen?

“You’d think she would, right?” Roberto added. “We can tease that that will probably happen at some point this season.”

And maybe Cheryl too. But…”I think what we’re going to learn about Cheryl is that she doesn’t necessarily follow all the rules ever — including the serpent rules.”

Riverdale returns on Wednesday, October 10th on The CW.
