“We came up with Let the Road years ago in a caravan in Danny’s back garden, when we were trying to make something happen with our music and nothing was working out,” Jake shared about their album title.
He added, “It’s perfect to have that be the title track and the first song on this album, because it shows that you really never know where you’re going in life.”
On writing their album: “The whole process of the album was a very long winded one. There was a lot of trial and error, going back to the days when me and Danny first me. We just decided to write about life situations. For example, the song ‘Beautiful Excuses’ I [Jake] wrote about the time when me and my ex-girlfriend were splitting up and it’s about deciding which way to go and make up excuses.”
On shooting the ‘Wait On Me’ video: “It was a lot of fun…for the first 10 hours. We ended up shooting from 11am til 8am the next day. We were absolutely exhausted but the energy on set was always up and we knew we were on to something exciting. Plus we were dressed to the nines so we couldn’t complain.”
On touring: “We’d like to visit everywhere. As long as we get to play live shows and meet the people that enjoy what we do then we would go anywhere.”
