“It’s my dream role,” he shared. “I get super powers! It’s not just that, though. The people involved are incredible, the scripts are amazing and I love where we are headed with the show.”
Robbie added, “It’s nice to play a character who, although lives in this fantastic world and has these super powers, is very grounded in reality.”
Alexa Vega leads Robbie Amell and Keenan Tracey on an adventure in this new shot from The Hunters.
The film is an adaptation of Joshua Williamson‘s comic book Mirror Mirror and also stars Victor Garber.
Two brothers (Amell, Tracey) learn that they come from a long line of Hunters, a secret society sworn to protect powerful fairy tale objects from falling into the wrong hands. When their Hunter parents go missing in their quest to retrieve the magical mirror — the very same mirror that played a prominent role in the story of Snow White — the brothers realize they have to assume their birthright and find their parents and the mirror before it’s too late.
The Hunters premieres Friday, October 25th @ 8PM ET/PT on Hallmark Channel. 30+ pics inside…

Who else has their DVRs set for tonight’s premieres of Arrow and The Tomorrow People, starring cousin actors Stephen and Robbie Amell?
In a recent interview with USA Today, Robbie, 25, and Stephen, 32, open up about their shows.
“The show’s always been very much a journey from the character we meet in the pilot, which is almost a prisoner of war, a vigilante, to becoming the hero that we know, the Green Arrow,” Stephen shared about Oliver in Arrow. “Last year was about revenge and this year the city needs something very different. And his journey is a little bit more hopeful there. Concurrently, we’re watching his adventures on the island, where he’s getting darker and darker because he had to become more of an animal to survive. So, as he darkens there, hopefully he can regrow some of his humanity at home.”
Robbie added about The Tomorrow People, “All of these Tomorrow People come from a really damaged situation, because they all thought they were losing their minds. They were hearing people in their heads. My mom – I can’t tell her I have superpowers – still wants me on my medication. I’m good, but what reason does she have to believe me? I didn’t just wake up one morning and get better.”
Arrow airs @ 8PM and The Tomorrow People @ 9PM TONIGHT on The CW.

In the pilot episode, we meet Stephen Jameson (Robbie Amell) who begins hearing voices and waking up in strange places, he starts to question his sanity.
In desperation, Stephen decides to listen to one of the voices in his head, and it leads him to his first encounter with the Tomorrow People — John (Luke Mitchell), Cara (Peyton List) and Russell (Aaron Yoo) — a genetically advanced race with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation, and telepathic communication.
The trio informs him that they are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra, led by Dr. Jedikiah Price (Mark Pellegrino). Meanwhile, Stephen gets another surprise that leads him down his own path, which he hopes will help him uncover the truth about his father’s mysterious disappearance.

“I first auditioned for John and I wished that I was auditioning for Stephen because I had read the script and I just related much more to that character,” Robbie told Access Hollywood. “I like [the] origin story of this kid, very normal kid, used to have a good life and a great family and friends and then everything was pretty much stripped from him and he doesn’t know why or what’s going on, so it seemed like a really fun character to start from scratch and go on this incredible journey and finding out he has superpowers and living in this incredible world while still staying grounded and being a normal kid and finding my way through it.”
