The Amell cousins are going to be working together even more!
The actors – Stephen and Robbie – will be starring in a new spinoff series of their new movie Code 8 for short-form platform Quibi.
“Looks like I’m going to have to work with this guy some more” Stephen wrote on Instagram, to which Robbie commented, “Tough luck.”
“Catch #Code8 this Friday everywhere that VOD is available… we re hard at work on the next stage. Thank you all for the unbelievable support. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼,” Robbie added on his own account.

The cousins made the movie with the help of over 25,000 backers on an IndieGogo campaign.
“So… starting December 13th in LA, NYC, Kansas City, Philly, Dallas, Miami (and plenty more cities yet to be announced) you can head to a movie theater and watch Code 8. Conversely, if leaving the house feels like a pain in the a– just hop on iTunes or Prime Video or Google play or Vudu (I don’t know what that is…) or basically any on-demand platform you can think of and watch Code 8 from the comfort of your own home. (Quick aside… don’t watch it on your phone. We aren’t animals.) However you end up watching try and keep one thing in mind: This movie is possible because over 25,000 people put their faith in my older cousin Robbie, our fearless director Jeff, me and the entire team behind this movie. This is the beginning of the Code 8 adventure. We are so proud to share it with you,” Stephen wrote on Instagram.

Jenna Ortega is set to star in the sequel to The Babysitter on Netflix!
The 17-year-old Jane the Virgin actress has signed on for the follow-up to the horror comedy, THR reports.
The film followed “a babysitter who moonlighted as the leader of a satanic cult looking to perform sacrifices.”
McG will return to direct, and the returning cast includes Judah Lewis, Bella Thorne, Robbie Amell, Hana Mae Lee, Andrew Bachelor, and Ken Marino.
The sequel will take place “two years after Cole (Lewis), who defeated a satanic cult led by his babysitter, is trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, he will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.”
Jenna shared the news on Instagram with the caption, “Good morning.”
It was also recently announced that Jenna Ortega will play Jennifer Garner‘s daughter in another Netflix film, Yes Day!

Congrats are in order for Italia Ricci and Robbie Amell – they just welcomed their first child!
The longtime couple revealed they were expecting their first child together earlier this year and announced to their fans that their son, Robert Amell V, was born today, September 12th.

“Today we welcome Robert Amell V into the world but also find out that being triple extra pregnant increases your odds of birthing Gollum,” Italia captioned her photo of Robert‘s little hand clasping her finger.
Robbie added with his own image, “And now everything is different.”

The guys’ movie Code 8 has been picked up Vertical Entertainment for a theatrical release, Deadline reports.
“We took a grassroots approach to getting this film off the ground and we’re beyond thrilled to unveil it alongside our partners at Vertical,” they said in a statement. “This has been a labor of love for us and the tens of thousands of supporters who have been there since the start of this journey.”
If you didn’t know, Stephen and Robbie launched an Indiegogo campaign back in 2016 to help fund the movie. They also have held screenings of the finished product for supporters.
Code 8 is set in a world where 4% of the population is born with some type of supernatural ability, but instead of being superheroes, they are heavily policed and live in poverty. Connor Reed (Robbie) is a powerful young “electric” struggling to pay for his ailing mother’s medical treatment. To earn money, he joins a lucrative criminal world led by Garrett (Stephen), who teaches him how to use his powers to pull off a series of increasingly dangerous crimes.
Look out for a Code 8 in theaters late this year!
Italia Ricci shows off her growing baby bump during Hallmark Channel’s Summer 2019 TCA Press Tour Party over the weekend in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The former Chasing Life and Designated Survivor actress was joined on the red carpet by husband, Robbie Amell.
Speaking with US Weekly at the event, Italia admitted that she was 100% not prepared for her first child.
“[We’re] terrified. No amount of books or advice is going to prepare you to settle through it,” she shared.
However, Italia did admit that Robbie is pretty excited for the baby to come.
“He’s been golfing a lot so that I don’t have to deal with him,” she joked. “He gets anything I want. He’s been super [great]. He’s been excited.”
