Ross Butler Joins Kiernan Shipka in New Series 'Swimming With Sharks!'

Ross Butler and Kiernan Shipka are joining forces for a new show!

The 13 Reasons Why actor and the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actress will co-star in the upcoming Quibi drama series Swimming with Sharks, Deadline reports.

Directed by Tucker Gates, the show is described as a “contemporary update of George Huang’s 1994 film that both celebrates and skewers the Hollywood studio system.”

In the adaptation featuring a female spin, “Lou (Kiernan Shipka), a young female assistant, works for Joyce (Diane Kruger), a sole female studio head, at a company filled with manipulators, schemers and intrigue, but little do they know Lou is poised to outwit them all.”

Ross will play Alex, “a burnt-out, Harvard educated assistant supporting Joyce. Alex is friendly to the new intern, Lou, and fills her in on the perils of working for Joyce.”

The To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You actor shared his idea on Instagram on Saturday (February 15).

“Putting my name in the running for the next James Bond,” he captioned a photo of himself in an all-black suit next to a gold Mercedes-Benz while attending the Mercedes Benz 2020 Oscars Viewing Party. (See which Riverdale co-star he reunited with at the event!)

“I’m a quarter British, black suits match my hair, and my last name also starts with a B,” Ross Butler added. “How much more do I need on my resume?”

Ross Butler and Madelaine Petsch meet up at the Mercedes Benz 2020 Oscars Viewing Party held at the Four Seasons Los Angeles on Sunday (February 9) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

In case you forgot, the two actors co-starred together in the first season of Riverdale, but Ross left the show to star in 13 Reasons Why on Netflix.

Also in attendance at the event were Thomas Doherty, Anne Winters, and a few Freeform stars – grown-ish‘s Trevor Jackson and Diggy Simmons, Good Trouble‘s Zuri Adele, and Everything’s Gonna Be Okay‘s Adam Faison.

Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, & Jordan Fisher Premiere 'To All The Boys 2' in Hollywood!

We’re one week away from the Netflix premiere of To All The Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and the cast just gathered for the red carpet premiere!

Lana Condor was joined by Jordan Fisher and Noah Centineo at the event on Monday (February 3) at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.

Also in attendance at the event were cast members Ross Butler, Janel Parrish, Anna Cathcart, John Corbett, Madeleine Arthur, Sarayu Blue, Emilija Baranac, and Trezzo Mahoro.

Lana‘s longtime love Anthony De La Torre is also pictured in the gallery!

The To All The Boys sequel will begin streaming on Netflix on February 12. The third movie is expected later this year and it has already been filmed!

Ross Butler wanted to make sure fans knew he’s in the upcoming To All The Boys sequel!

The 29-year-old actor noticed he wasn’t featured in promos for the movie so he decided to DM Netflix to do something about it!

“Honestly, I don’t think anyone actually believes im in TATB2 since I’m barely in the trailers…” Ross jokingly wrote in a message to the company.

Thankfully, Netflix got right on the case to fix the problem and posted a super cute collage of Ross in the movie!
