It’s been over 17 years since the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone, debuted in theaters.
However, it’s also been 17 years since Rupert Grint actually watched the entire movie, too.
In a new video interview, Rupert admitted that he only recently watched the film all the way through.
“I always hate watching myself,” he shared, adding later that he finally watched it all in its’ entirety because he felt so far removed from his 11-year-old self that he could.

Rupert recently told a funny story about how his character in Snatch, Charlie, had to dance in one scene in the series – and researching the skill had him going to YouTube.
“I had to dance in a scene,” Rupert shared, adding that it’s “something I struggle with.”
He adds that “I actually had to Youtube ‘How to Dance’ and the results weren’t particularly great.”
Looks like he should call up Evanna Lynch for some lessons after her run on DWTS.
Rupert Grint and his longtime girlfriend Georgia Groome are still going strong!
The 30-year-old actor, who you know for playing Ron in the Harry Potter movies, was spotted shopping with Georgia on Thursday (September 20) in New York City.
The couple has been together, on-and-off, since 2011.
The second season of Rupert‘s Crackle series Snatch just premiered.
“I’m really enjoying it,” Rupert told Fox News. “It’s quite fun. I think Potter ended at kind of the right time, as much as I loved it… I was just very ready to explore new characters, I think.”
“I love that particularly in TV… you have the time to really carve out [your character]. Really get to know your character throughout a series. That’s something that’s really exciting to me at the moment,” he added.
Rupert Grint has been cast in the upcoming BBC series The ABC Murders.
The Harry Potter actor will take on the role of Inspector Crome, THR reports.
The ABC Murders is set in the “seething, suspicious early 1930s, it’s a brutal story of violence and lies, the long shadow of the past and the slaughter to come. At its center, one of the most familiar, famous characters in crime fiction. We may all think we know Poirot, but do we really know Hercule?” says writer Sarah Phelps.
The ABC Murders will air in three parts on BBC in Great Britain, and on Amazon in the United States.

Rupert Grint has admitted that he can’t enjoy Harry Potter anymore.
“I think being in things ruins them for me,” the 29-year-old actor told Radio Times. “I can’t enjoy Harry Potter any more, not as a fan � it’s just not the same!”
As for gaining immense fame and a legion of fans, Rupert said that he doesn’t mind it.
“It’s definitely manageable,” he says. “I end up having to take a selfie [for a fan] most days, but I’ve never really minded if it makes people happy � though I hate it when people take pictures without asking. It was really exciting when I was about 11 or 12, but it got harder in my teenage years. Sometimes you just want to be invisible.”
It’s a pretty well known fact that Rupert Grint and Ed Sheeran look alike — we’re still banking on the fact that they’re actually twins separated a birth.
In an interview with Buzzfeed, Rupert confessed that he actually pretends to be Ed, too.

“I play along, I rarely deny it,” he joked with the site.
Rupert actually starred as the musician’s look a like in his “Lego House” music video.
Rupert goes on to reveal that he has another celeb connection too — he’s “very distantly” related to singer Robbie Williams.

The Snatch actor admitted in a Q&A yesterday at the London premiere of the series, that he was once the go-to guy for Pokemon cards…too bad they were all fake!

“In the playground, I used to sell counterfeit Pok�mon cards,” he admitted of his ultimate swindle.
Rupert adds just how he got away with it too: “You [just] print them off. The shiny ones, they were hard to do.”
