The premiere of Sydney to the Max‘s new season is right around the corner!
The Disney Channel show’s second season is set to premiere with a week of five new episodes starting March 23rd!
Each night through March 27th, fans will get to see a brand new episode on the network or DisneyNOW.
The show is set in the present day with flashbacks to the 1990s and follows outgoing middle schooler Sydney Reynolds (Ruth Righi), who lives with her single dad Max (Ian Reed Kesler).
This season, Sydney will tackle a variety of seventh grade milestones, including trying out for the fencing team, attending her first school dance and setting out to save the environment with her best friends. In the 90s, Max and Leo will focus on “causes” that are important to them – stopping their school from getting rid of junk food, learning the best way to ask a girl to the school dance and starting a rap club.
Following the debut week, new episodes will premiere Fridays at 8 PM.
The 24-year-old actor, who was joined by girlfriend Mia Scholink, hit the pink carpet at the event on Monday night (February 3) at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.
Meg Donnelly and Milo Manheim are the perfect Prawn king and queen at the premiere of Zombies 2 held at Walt Disney Studios Main Theater on Saturday (January 25) in Burbank, Calif.
The upcoming animated flick stars Will Smith and follows the world’s best spy who gets turned into a pigeon! He then must rely on his nerdy tech officer to save the world.
The show’s second season has yet to premiere and the network already greenlit another one.
“We’re thrilled to be investing in another season of this endearing comedy and to continue working with our very talented showrunner Mark Reisman,” Disney Channel Vice President of Current Series Kory Lunsford said in a statement.
“Reisman‘s amazing team and this stellar cast continue to deliver stories that are both funny and meaningful for our audience. We can’t wait to see how the loveable Reynolds family and friends will continue to navigate tweendom, parenthood and friendship,” he added.
The Disney Channel sitcom will air it’s first interactive, live broadcast for a special Halloween themed episode, THR reports.
Viewers at home, as well as the in studio audience, will help determine plot twists by voting on certain elements of the show on the DisneyNOW app as well as DisneyNOW.com. The cast will then have to improvise on what the audience votes.
Just Roll With It: You Decide LIVE! will follow the Bennett-Blatt family as they set out to reverse an evil curse and encounter a variety of strange characters and spooky trick-or-treaters along the way. Raven’s Home star Raven Symone and Bunk’d actress Miranda May are set to guest star.
