Sabrina Carpenter is all smiles on stage during a Q&A session with fans at Disney Channel’s Fanfest held at Martin Place in Sydney, Australia on Saturday (August 6).
The 17-year-old Girl Meets World actress was happy to chat with the fans and hosts before performing her songs, including new single, “On Purpose” on stage with sister Sarah. While in town, she stayed at QT Sydney.
Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter are the definition of friendship goals in this pic, on and off screen, so it seems silly to us how anyone would think that they aren’t true friends.
But, that’s what did happen and Rowan, 14, is taking a little social media break from her Twitter account after hearing about fans thinking her friendship with just not Sabrina, but the entire cast of Girl Meets World isn’t real.
“I just wrapped and was just informed that there were horrendous rumors being spread about me and our cast,” she wrote earlier this week. “I don’t usually comment on anything like this, but I have spent the last half hour crying, confused as to why someone can stoop to such a low level to try and ruin the life of someone they don’t know personally.”
Rowan added, “I would never fake a friendship. The though of that makes me sick. The cast and I love each other more than anything, we have all had a hard time this week because of it being our possible last week.”
The 17-year-old singer and Girl Meets World actress debuted the song on all digital platforms after surprising her fans with the news just last week.
“My next single ‘On Purpose’ comes out a week from today. I didn’t know how much this song would mean to me when I wrote it but it’s just the first taste of what’s to come. I hope you love it,” Sabrina wrote about the track.
Sabrina, who starred in Disney Channel’s 100th DCOM, Adventures in Babysitting, released her latest song, “Smoke and Fire” back in February, with a video following shortly after. So, we’re definitely due for new Sabrina tunes!
