Yara Shahidi, Sabrina Carpenter, & Katherine McNamara Attend the #GirlHero Awards!

We’re always so inspired by these young women and the amazing things they do were recognized at the Girl Up #GirlHero Awards!

Yara Shahidi was among the honorees at the event held on Sunday (October 14) at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

Also in attendance at the event were Sabrina Carpenter, Katherine McNamara, Ariel Winter, Monique Coleman, and Elsie Fisher with Eighth Grade director Bo Burnham.

Yara gave an inspiring speech that paid tribute to her mother for teaching her to know her own worth.

“Not only what she’s done for me, but what you’ve done for my brothers as well, is created an environment where it is the expectation that women follow their passions, but more than that, that we walk into every room understanding our worth,” Yara said. “No matter what faulty criteria is put on our voice, we walk in understanding that our existence is criteria enough, is proof enough of our ability to speak on certain issues, on our ability to convey empathy. And more than anything, our importance and emphasis on globalism.”

Sabrina performed her single “Almost Love” and a cover of Ariana Grande‘s “God is a Woman” at the event.

FYI: Yara is wearing a Carolina Herrera outfit and boots. Sabrina is wearing a Marc Jacobs outfit.

Sabrina Carpenter Reveals 'Singular' Album Release Date During 'Late Late Show' Performance

OMG! Sabrina Carpenter just revealed her album release date in the sneakiest, but most amazing way!

During her appearance on The Late Late Show on Monday night (October 1), the 19-year-old singer performed her lead single, “Almost Love”, off of her upcoming album, Singular.

The performance was a mess – but a good mess in the way that a paint party happened in the middle of the museum-like set.

At the bitter end of her performance though, Sabrina sprayed a date on the wall – November 9th – which is the release date of her album!

So sneaky!
