“‘Restart’ is one of my favorite tracks on the album and I really felt like I wanted to visualize it,” Sam told The Guardian. “I had such an amazing time putting this video together, remembering some incredible moments from this year and also a recent trip with my team to Brighton this summer.”
“I was worried. I didn’t give the public enough credit,” Sam recently shared about coming out as gay just when his debut album hit shelves. “We were really panicky about it, but then as soon as we did it, I am just so proud of how people haven’t reacted.”
He continued, “People really just don’t give a s***. The success in America is still happening even though I’ve talked about it. I feel like it’s a step forward – we’re in uncharted territory at the moment where you say it before an album and it’s all natural and okay. It’s great.”
“Staying grounded is really hard,” Sam told the Metro. “When you’re surrounded by people telling you you’re great, it’s quite warped and tough. My team and my mum are strong enough to sort me out if it looks like I’m going to turn into a diva.”
Earlier in the week, Samhit the stage for a performance at the Red Bull Sound Space at 97.1 AMP Radio.
