Sammi Hanratty‘s The Greening of Whitney Brown is hitting shelves in January!

The movie follows Whitney (Hanratty), a spoiled pre-teen from Philadelphia, who is forced to move to the country when her parents (Brooke Shields, Aidan Quinn) feel the squeeze of economic hard times.

A fish out of water, far from her comfort zone, she befriends an amazing horse, and undertakes a misguided journey back to her old life, only to discover that her family is her home.

The Greening of Whitney Brown comes with a few special features — a Brooke Shields music video, the “Be That Girl” video with Sammi and Julia Rae plus commentary with Sammi and director Peter Odiorne.

Sammi Hanratty gives a big smile as she stops by for an interview on PIX 11 Morning News on Monday (November 7) in NYC.

The 16-year-old actress decked out in an outfit by Boy Meets Girl while appearing on the morning show with her Whitney of Greening Brown costar Brooke Shields.

Sammi and Brooke star as a mother/daughter pair in the film, about a spoiled pre-teen from Philadelphia who is forced to move to the country when her parents feel the squeeze of economic hard times.

Sammi Hanratty struts her stuff at the red carpet premiere of The Greening of Whitney Brown held at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square Theater in New York City on Monday night (November 7).

The 16-year-old actress, in BCBG and Steve Madden heels, stars as the title character in the flick, which hits select theaters on November 11th.

Sammi will be going to Peru this December with Smile Train. She’ll get to experience the ongoing problem facing millions of children who are suffering with un-repaired clefts palates.

During her trip, Sammi will also visit patients homes and visit the hospitals to see the life changing surgeries take place.

Stella Hudgens and Sammi Hanratty enjoy a leisurely bike ride around the neighborhood on Saturday afternoon (October 8) in Studio City, Calif.

The twosome rode their bikes to one of their favorite eateries — Studio Cafe!

On their way back home, Sammi and Stella scored big with Coca-cola — “So a guy dropped all his cokes on the street so we helped him picked them all up and he gave us 5 bottles!” Stella posted on Twitter.

Earlier this month, Sammi and Stella attend the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party.
