Sara Paxton shows off her pearly whites as she attends 2009 The CW Network UpFront at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday morning (May 21).
The 21-year-old actress stars as Raina in the upcoming The Beautiful Life: TBL, a drama centered on models living together in a co-ed residence in New York.
JustJaredJr.com caught up with Sara at the event and learned that she didn’t even have to audition for her role! Check it:
On her character on the television series: “Raina has run away from home and her family and she’s fallen into the business to make money and basically survive.”
On not having to audition for the series: “I didn’t have to audition at all. The part was offered to me!” (JJJ Note: Very impressive!)
On if she ever wanted to get into modeling: “No, not really. I was never into modeling. But I’m really happy with the show because it’s more about showing the unglamorous side of the business. It shows what really goes on behind the glossy photos. There’s a lot of edgy stuff, really edgy for the CW.”
The Beautiful Life: TBL cast will shoot the second episode this July in NYC.

Corbin Bleu gives a great big grin as he attends the 2009 The CW Network UpFront at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday morning (May 21).
The 20-year-old actor stars in the upcoming The Beautiful Life: TBL, a drama centered on models living together in a co-ed residence in New York.
JustJaredJr.com caught up with Corbin at the event and asked him all about his new series. Check it out:
On going from the HSM franchise back to a television series: “It’s a different change of pace. It’s nice to show up on set and still have it subdued and professional at the same time. Not that HSM never was because everyone was on set and always prepared but the project and the content is different. So it’s a different approach.”
On his character on the show: “I play Isaac. He’s actually a musician but he does the modeling thing to make ends meet. He definitely has the attitude and has the persona of a model. He can handle it and he knows that he can. He’s still on the back-burner when it comes to modeling. He wants to be able to make ends meet and make a living but I think his true passion is him having that double foot in the door type thing.”
On possibly playing an instrument on the show: “I’m planning on experimenting with the music but it’s still a work in progress. What’s nice about starting this, is that there is a whole world of opportunities. There’s a lot of different ways it can go with what instruments he [Isaac] plays, what kind of style music he does. Right now, we’re just barely introducing that he’s into music.”
On the difference between the HSM set and The Beautiful Life: TBL set: “It’s less colorful. (laughs). It’s a bit grittier. Obviously, when you looked around the HSM set there was the basketball short and very vibrant, very colorful. This [The Beautiful Life] is high fashion. It takes place in New York, downtown and has that edginess, that grittiness about it. You can feel it.”
On what he’s doing during his mini-hiatus: “Working on some films, my own music. Definitely going to keep up with that. I also have my production company so we’re working on different projects there.
On what TV show he’d love to guest star on: “I’d say either True Blood or Family Guy.”
