The actress who will portray Sasha Obama in an upcoming television show has been found!
Saniyya Sidney has joined the cast of the Showtime series as the former first daughter, Deadline reveals.
She will star alongside Lexi Underwood, who will play Malia Obama. Find out more here!

This project will also reunite Saniyya and Viola Davis, who will portray Michelle Obama, as they were in the movie Fences together. You may also recognize the young actress from Hidden Figures, season six of American Horror Story, or her most recent role in the show The Passage.
She will also be seen in the upcoming movie King Richard, where she plays a young Venus Williams!

The 18-year-old daughter of former U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will begin her studies in the fall.
“Sasha is living in dorms like a normal college freshman,” a source told ET. “I have seen her on campus, I’ve met her and she seems excited for the school year.”
“She just wants to try and have as normal of a college experience as possible but she kind of accepts that it won’t really happen and it’s going to be different for her,” the source continued.
A second source added that Barack was spotted on campus this week with security.
Sasha Obama‘s older sister, Malia Obama, 21, took a gap year in 2016 before starting at Harvard University in the fall of 2017.

Sasha Obama just picked up a rather normal summer job!
The 15-year-old daughter of President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama is working the cash register and busing tables at a seafood restaurant named Nancy’s on Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.
“She’s been working downstairs at takeout,” a server told the Boston Herald. “We were wondering why there were six people helping this girl, but then we found out who it was.”
The Secret Service accompanies her to the job and stays outside in SUVs while she works inside.
Sasha will reportedly finish up the job this weekend when her parents arrive for their family vacation.
“She’s been around for a few days,” another worker told the paper. “It’s pretty random.”
Malia and Sasha Obama deboard their airplane with President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama leading the way at Jose Marti International Airport on Airforce One for a visit on Sunday (March 20) in Havana, Cuba.
The family is making a visit for 48-hours and no president has visited Cuba in 90 years.
The next day, President Obama met with Cuban President Raul Castro for meeting and took some photos together. The family was also seen on a walking tour that same day.

Malia Obama and Sasha Obama look stunning and all grown up while attending a State Dinner at the White House on Thursday (March 10) in Washington, D.C.
The first daughters were in attendance to welcome Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to their home along with their parents, President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.
“When I first elected to this office, Malia was just 10 and Sasha was 7. And they grow up too fast,” Obama said during his remarks at the dinner. “Now Malia is going off to college � And I’m starting to choke up.”

The two singers were joined at the big event by the First family including President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Sasha and Malia, and fellow performers Christina Perri, Aloe Blacc, and Darius Rucker.
