Ariana Grande's Ex-Fiance Pete Davidson Talks About Their Split on 'SNL'

Ariana Grande's Ex-Fiance Pete Davidson Talks About Their Split on 'SNL'

Pete Davidson has a very mature stance on his breakup with fiancee Ariana Grande and he addressed their split while appearing on Weekend Update during the latest episode of Saturday Night Live.

The 24-year-old comedian first addressed the breakup by talking about moving back in with his mom after having to move out of Ari‘s apartment.

“So the midterm elections are obviously a huge deal and after I had to move back in with my mom, I started paying attention to them and I realized there are some really gross people running for office this year, so here are my first impressions,” Pete said.

Pete then showed photos of some men running for office this year and made fun of their appearances.

“Don’t get me wrong, I’m not insane, I know I shouldn’t be making fun of how anyone looks,” Pete later said before his own picture was put on the screen. He joked, “I look like I make vape juice in a bathtub. I look like a Dr. Seuss character went to prison.”

“And the last thing I’ll say, I know some of you are curious about the breakup, but the truth is, it’s nobody’s business,” Pete said. “Sometimes things just don’t work out and that’s okay. She’s a wonderful, strong person and I genuinely wish her all the happiness in the world. Now, please go vote on Tuesday.”

Before signing off, Pete said, “I’m still a great song though!”

Ariana dropped her new song “thank u, next” right before SNL aired and she addresses all of her ex-boyfriends in the track.

Ariana Grande Dropped Out of 'SNL' Appearance for 'Emotional Reasons'

Ariana Grande Dropped Out of 'SNL' Appearance for 'Emotional Reasons'

Ariana Grande was scheduled to take on the role of musical guest on the season 44 premiere of Saturday Night Live tomorrow.

However, the “No Tears Left to Cry” crooner had to cancel for “emotional reasons,” and the position was filled by rapper Kanye West.

It’s understandable, as it’s been an extremely difficult year for Ariana, with the sudden and tragic death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller in early September at age 26, as well as the terrorist attack at her concert in Manchester, England, in May 2017.

SNL producer Lorne Michaels confirmed the news on James Andrew Miller‘s Origins podcast this week.

“We had Ariana drop out for emotional reasons two days ago,” Lorne said, revealing that Kanye then “stepped up” to take her place. “He’ll be there. The reach of the show, and the number of people that will step forward, is just somehow now, I think, probably at its peak.”

Adam Driver is hosting the show, and Ariana‘s fiance Pete Davidson is still set to appear, E! News reports.

We’re sending lots of love to Ariana as she takes time to heal.

'SNL' Star Says Justin Bieber Was 'Worst-Behaved' Guest, But Why? Find Out!

Saturday Night Live vet Bill Hader is explaining why he thinks Justin Bieber was the “worst-behaved” guest on the show!

The comedian dished on Justin‘s appearance during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“I mean, we both know,” Bill‘s fellow talk show guest Jay Pharaoh started after a fan question.

“Yeah, it was Bieber,” Bill agreed. “He just was in a bad place. Maybe he’s in a better place, but then he was in a very … it was rough.”

Bill added that, usually, celebrity guests are “on great behavior” and “everyone is very excited. Bieber is the only one in my experience – he just seemed like, exhausted or just at the end of a rope. He was just so huge.”

Justin served as the host and musical guest of a February 2013 episode. At the time, he was in the middle his Believe world tour and had recently split from his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez.
