Olivia Rodrigo got the best birthday present this year – there was a Saturday Night Live sketch revolving around her hit song “drivers license“!

The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actress and singer just turned 18 years old on Saturday (February 20).

Olivia got a lot of birthday wishes on social media from her friends and co-stars, followed by the best gift on the sketch show.

In the sketch, host Regé-Jean Page and the guys of SNL are hanging out in a bar playing a game of pool. Regé then heads over to the jukebox to turn on his new favorite song, “drivers license.”

At first, the guys acted as if they’ve never heard the song, since it’s a “chick song.”

Slowly, but surely they start talking more and more about the song, with Pete Davidson comparing Olivia‘s lyrics to Taylor Swift, who Regé describes as a “freaking storyteller.”

They also talk about the supposed drama behind the song, and how many people believe that Olivia wrote the song about her HSMTMTS co-star Joshua Bassett and his rumored new girlfriend Sabrina Carpenter.

Olivia took to social media to react to the sketch, freaking out.

“drivers license SNL sketch is the best birthday present ever Im shaking,” she wrote on Twitter in all caps. Check out the sketch here if you missed it!

“drivers license” has continued to dominate the charts, spending it’s first five weeks at No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the 10th song in HISTORY to do so. With no signs of slowing down, the hit track will likely spend a sixth week on the top!

Nick Jonas is about to have a super busy couple of weeks!

The 28-year-old entertainer was just announced as host AND musical guest on Saturday Night Live NEXT Saturday night (February 27).

Nick will be performing his new single “Spaceman,” which he has been teasing for a couple of weeks and just officially announced. The single will be released on Thursday (February 25).

This is the first time he is hosting the sketch show, and his second time performing solo. He and his brothers have also performed on the show, and participated in sketches.

Following SNL, Nick will be back on The Voice as a coach on the season premiere on Monday (March 1). Darren Criss is set to be his advisor this season.

Then, on Friday, March 5th, Nick‘s brand new movie Chaos Walking, with Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley, will be out in theaters. Check out the trailer here!

Yes, that’s right – Timothee Chalamet is hosting Saturday Night Live!

The weekly sketch series shared the news on Wednesday morning (November 25).

Timothee is set to host the show, with musical guest Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, on December 12th. This will be Timothee‘s first hosting gig on the comedy show.

Also in December, Dua Lipa will serve as musical guest on the last show of the year, December 19th. Kristen Wiig is returning to SNL to host that night. This will be Dua‘s second appearance on the show.

In case you missed it, in October it was announced that Timothee joined the cast of a star-studded Netflix film, alongside Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lawrence and more.

Justin Bieber is back on the Saturday Night Live stage!

The 26-year-old entertainer was the musical guest for the hit NBC show on Saturday (October 17).

For his first performance, Justin sang “Holy” along with collaborator Chance the Rapper. As the song came to a close, Justin bent over as became overwhelmed with emotions.

Chance smiled and supportively patted Justin‘s back as the show went to commercial.

For his second performance, Justin sang his latest single “Lonely” while collaborator Benny Blanco played the piano.

While singing, Justin started off backstage at SNL before making his way through the crowd and ended up singing on stage.

Miley Cyrus is making a surprise appearance on Saturday Night Live!

The 27-year-old singer video-chatted in to the hit show on Saturday (April 25) for a performance.

For her performance, Miley sang a cover of Pink Floyd‘s “Wish You Were Here” while performing in her backyard next to her fire pit.

A few days before for virtual performance, Miley and boyfriend Cody Simpson were spotted out while doing some grocery shopping.

Chloe Fineman shared some new impersonations from Saturday Night Live‘s at home edition on Saturday (April 11)!

The funny lady put on master classes as JoJo Siwa, Timothee Chalamet and Tiger King‘s Carole Baskin.

“Timothee” teaches a fashion class in the funny clip, “JoJo” teaches TikTok tutorials, and “Carole” teaches bike riding.

In case you missed it, JoJo recently recreated a scene from Dance Moms, where she re-enacted herself and Abby Lee Miller, and her mom even made an appearance as herself.
