Selena Gomez Announces 'Rare' Deluxe Album & COVID-19 Relief Fund Donation

Selena Gomez just made a big announcement!

The 27-year-old entertainer revealed that a deluxe version of her album Rare will be out later this week, with three new songs!

“The deluxe version of Rare, featuring ‘Boyfriend,’ ‘She’ and ‘Souvenir,’ is out April 9th. You can presave it now and learn more about how to donate to the PLUS1 COVID-19 Fund in my bio. 🌹,” she wrote on Instagram.

Selena also clarified that her song “Boyfriend” was written long before the crisis, and she wants “to be clear that a boyfriend is nowhere near the top of my list of priorities.”

She also announced that she will be personally donating to the Plus 1 COVID-19 Relief Fund, and she is donating $1 of every order in her official store to the fund, effective immediately.

Selena Gomez made an appearance on Miley Cyrus‘ Instagram Live show Bright Minded this past week.

During their time together, Miley gave Selena a warning about her little sister Grace.

“Right now, I go between from being the coolest person in the world in her life, to being like she doesn’t know me. That’ll happen. She won’t know you at a period in her life,” Miley said.

“Someone’s going to say like, ‘Oh, your sister Selena is cool,’ and she’ll go, ‘Who’s that? I don’t know her,’” she added. “Now Noah kind of goes out, so if I run into her out and you wave, and she’s like, ‘I don’t know her.’”

Also during the show, Selena opened up about her bipolar disorder diagnosis.

Selena Gomez has bravely revealed that she was diagnosed as bipolar.

The 27-year-old musician and actress shared that after going to McLean Hospital, one of the best mental health institutions in the United States, doctors helped her make the diagnosis.

Selena went on to explain that having as much information as possible helped her no longer live in fear of mental illness.

“When I have more information, it actually helps me, it doesn’t scare me once I know it…When I finally said what I was going to say, I wanted to know everything about it and it took the fear away,” Selena explained on Miley CyrusBright Minded live stream.

She continued, “When I was younger, I was scared of thunderstorms and my mom bought me all these books on thunderstorms and she was like, ‘The more you educate yourself on this, the more that you’re not going to be afraid.’ It completely worked. That’s something that helps me big time.”

One of the photos was a close-up of Justin‘s tattooed body and another photo was an old photo of her with her ex. She has since “unliked” the photos.

She also revealed some new “Dance Again” merch, with part of those proceeds going towards the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund!

“It feels a little strange releasing something so lighthearted in the middle of such a heavy time for our world, but I also think it’s a good reminder that we will get through this together. 💖 For every purchase of the new Dance Again merch in my store, a portion of proceeds will benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund,” she wrote on Instagram about the video.
