Bridgit Mendler sits down for a talk with Meredith Vieira on The Meredith Vieira Show in New York City, airing Thursday morning (April 2).
The 22-year-old Undateable actress opened up to Meredith about her boyfriend Shane Harper and how the two, who co-starred on Good Luck Charlie together, got together.
“I don’t know. I’m not going to say it was his fault, I think we were both young, we were 16 when we met. Actually, he was 15, I’m a cougar. He’s two months younger than me, so he just turned 16. I don’t know maybe he was just too boisterous or something and I was just lame and I thought I was too good,” she explained.
Bridgit continued, “Two years later we were just in the same friend group for awhile and he wore me down. Persistence. I think chivalry should never die. I think a guy should fight for a girl and wait for a girl.”
The former Happyland actor turns 22 TODAY — on Valentine’s Day!
“Happy birthday to my love @theshaneharper so blessed to be celebrating another year with you my valentine birthday boy,” Shane‘s girlfriend, actress Bridgit Mendler wrote on Instagram with a cute pic, before sharing their failure at cooking breakfast with friends.
