The 27-year-old Olympian and expectant mamma got a dare from her husband, Andrew East, to try on her leotard she wore to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games – at 40 weeks pregnant!
And guess what? They fit and look fab on her!
“… fits a little different these days đ @andrewdeast dared me too hahah 40 weeks preggers,” Shawn shared with her fans on Instagram.
She added, “But no joke… this babes is already more rewarding than any medal was. BABY! GET HERE ALREADY! #pregnant #gymnastics.”

The Voice contestant and the Olympic gold medalist attended the charity event held at Shwab Elementary School on Monday (August 27) in Nashville, Tenn.
The group partnered with the brands in donating 25,000 backpacks filled with food for underprivileged kids and their families across America.
The schoolâs gym was transformed for students, who were treated to a kid-friendly memorable afternoon filled with games and take-home prizes including a pirate bounce, ring toss, skee ball, whack-a-mole, life-size connect-four, inflatable obstacle course, mini golf, double shot basketball, two-minute drill football, sand art, spin art, and more.
Everyone enjoyed colorful cotton candy and popcorn in between playing the carnival activities.

After the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, where gymnasts Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin won a ton of medals for Team USA – they stopped speaking to each other.
âRight after the Olympics, we kind of had like a falling out, but it wasnât like anything between us,â Shawn shared in a new Youtube video the girls just released.
Nastia echoes her statement, “There wasn’t an incident, like ever.”
But what caused them to stop talking to each other and what looked like the end of their friendship was us: the media who decided that Nastia and Shawn were only supposed to be rivals. Not friends.
How awful is that? It’s stupid too. Nastia and Shawn were teenagers at the time and media was making them believe that they needed to hate each other. Don’t bring down this friendship, or any others please!
“Right after the Olympics, the entire world like plotted us against one another,â Shawn added. âAs soon as all-around hit, it was like Nastia or Shawn. …We kind of felt like, well, they donât want us to be friends. They wonât allow us to be friends.â
Nastia continued, “The more and more time that went on, I think we realized we wanted to fix it, but we almost like didnât know how because it just had been so long. Shawn was the bigger person.”
After Shawn wrote Nastia a lengthy email while waiting for a flight, the friendship started to be rekindled.
We can’t even imagine if Nastia and Shawn hadn’t rekindled their friendship.
Nastia also hit back at naysayers who think their friendship is all for show.

Former USA Gymnastics teammates Shawn Johnson and Nastia Liukin are lending their support to their fellow gymnasts who have spoken out about sexual assault from Larry Nassar.
Shawn posted a video on her YouTube page, and wrote, “This was the hardest video I have ever had to make, but I had to make it. Gymnastics was a huge part of my life and I want to make sure other children are able to enjoy the sport. We need protection from people like Larry Nassar and we need to change the systems and guidelines that are in place.”
Nastia took to her blog to lend support and even pledged to donate all proceeds from the Nastia Liukin Cup in March to an organization which supports victims of sexual abuse.
“I continue to be in awe of my teammates and other women and the bravery it took for them to come forward with their own stories of Larry Nassar‘s abuse,” she wrote. “All week long I have been a witness to their testimonies live on my computer. They all inspire me with their courage. To compete on the biggest stage of our lives, while knowing the man on the floor with us was a monster, takes incredible fortitude and strength. His actions and assaults against my teammates, friends and other women are appalling and disgusting and I am so sorry they had to go through it alone.”
“This letter is also a commitment from me, to help create positive change and a brighter future,” Nastia continued. “As a small first step, I have requested that all proceeds (ticket sales, merchandise sales, and any and all other revenue) from the Nastia Liukin Cup this March will be donated to an organization which supports victims of sexual abuse. I am currently doing my due diligence to find the right organization.”

The athlete found out she had lost the baby less than 48 hours after she discovered she was pregnant, and the video struck a chord with fans and others who have gone through the same experience all over the world.
Now, Shawn and Andrew are updating their fans and talking about how the news affected their relationship.
“I could not have gone through all of this without him,” Shawn said, resting her head on Andrew‘s shoulder. “He’s the best husband in the world. He truly is the reason I was able to get through all of this.”
“This made us so strong in our marriage,” Andrew added. “There’s always a bright side. You are my bright side always.”

Shawn Johnson & Andrew East Talk Life Post-Miscarriage
Shawn Johnson has revealed that she and her husband Andrew East suffered a miscarriage shortly after learning she was pregnant.
The Olympic gold medalist and the football player shared their journey with fans in a heartbreaking but optimistic YouTube video on Saturday (October 21).
“We feel like a lot of people go through this, so we want to share it,” Shawn explains.
The video details everything from the excitement surrounding the unexpected positive pregnancy tests, to announcing the news to Andrew via a pair of Converse baby sneakers, to the doctor’s visit after Shawn experienced some bleeding.
“The past 48 hours have been some of the happiest, scariest, and saddest times of my life,” Shawn captioned the video. “My husband Andrew and I found out that we were unexpectedly pregnant, only to find out hours later some tragic news. I have been crying more than I ever have, but am still optimistic for what is next.”
“So, it’s been a roller coaster of a few days,” Shawn says. “We just got back from the doctor and I’m no longer pregnant. Somehow, I lost the pregnancy already. It sucks. It’s definitely no fun, guys ďż˝ and having a doctor confirm that we miscarried doesn’t feel good. I’ve cried enough today, I don’t need to cry anymore.”
“We’ll use them again, of course,” she adds about the sneakers.
