Shelby Flannery has been promoted to series regular on The 100!
The actress, who appeared in the season six finale as the adult Hope Diyoza, will have an even bigger role in the show’s final season, TV Line reports.
“I haven’t tooted or tweeted about this yet cause like everyone else I’m not confident I know the line between self aggrandizement and self promotion. Or if self promotion is even totally necessary. Which maybe it isn’t,” Shelby wrote on Instagram. “Maybe by simply doing what gets you excited and doing it with vigor and love, your work spreads wide beyond what any instagram blurb will touch. But it’s 2019 and looks like these questions are gunna continue being relevant. Social media is confusing. And it calls for responsibility and respect. And I also realize that all this may sound ostentatious and besides any real point. Because it is.”
“The real point is: Hey guys, I’m on a sci fi where I pretend to be a proper badass. It’s called The 100, and my character develops throughout season 7. It’ll be twisted and wicked. The even realer point is: My cup is filled with gratitude. Always stand behind what you want with sovereignty and without shame. But you know that! Have a nice day,” she added.
