The fan-favorite Freeform series has been canceled by the network after only three seasons on the air, Deadline reveals.
The cancellation news comes just two months after the season three finale aired.
Siren took viewers inside Bristol Cove—a coastal town known for its legend of once being home to mermaids. When the arrival of a mysterious girl proves this folklore all too true, the battle between man and sea takes a very vicious turn as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean.
The third season of Siren is coming to a close tonight (May 28)!
In “The Toll of the Sea”, in an effort to save Hope, Ryn and Ben confront Tia in an undersea battle between the mermaid tribes.
Maddie and Robb work to find a cure for Xander, while Helen and the hybrids help restore order. Ted struggles to accept Ben’s reality.
With the third season ending, many may be wondering if the show will continue with a fourth season, and the fate of Siren is up in the air.
Freeform revealed updates on it’s programming for a lot of it’s shows earlier this month, however, Siren was not on the list. Stay tuned to JJJ as news is released.
Tune in to the season finale of Siren TONIGHT (May 28) at 10pm ET/PT on Freeform!
Ryn (Eline Powell) cradles a baby in this first look at the upcoming third season of Siren!

Here’s some info on the upcoming season: Ben’s shocking decision to let the reporter die at the end of season two has ripple effects in his relationship with Maddie and Ryn.

All of this is complicated by the fact that Ryn’s baby, now being carried by a surrogate, must be protected at all costs.

Alex Roe is opening up about the response to the polyamorous relationship on Siren.
The 29-year-old expressed that he and the cast are grateful for all the love they have received.
“We’re so grateful for any fan reaction at all, it’s amazing that it’s sparked any conversation. We’re grateful, full stop,” he told TV Guide.
“Some people are freaked out by it, some people are cool with it, but I think starting a conversation is a pretty important thing to do,” Alex continued. “Ultimately, their relationship is all about love, you know? ‘Ben and Maddie are love,’ as Ryn says. I think what’s amazing about it is you have this mermaid who doesn’t see the way that humans see and all that humans have been taught to see. She just loves who she loves, and I think that Ben and Maddie’s minds have been opened because of that.”
In “No North Star”, Ben (Alex Roe), Maddie (Fola Evans-Akingbola) and the other humans deal with the fallout from the attack on the oil rig, while the mermaids re-acclimate to their ocean home.
Ryn (Eline Powell) comes back to land to follow through on an agreement she made with the military, despite not knowing what their ultimate goals are.
