It’s been over a month now since the final season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series debuted on Disney+.
The fan-favorite musical show ended it’s run on the streamer after four seasons and many, many musical numbers.
Throughout the course of the four seasons, the cast has taken on many Disney songs, including ones from all three High School Musical movies, of course, as well as songs from other Disney musicals like Frozen, Camp Rock and Beauty and the Beast.
In addition to remaking Disney songs, there were also several original songs written for the show, 42 to be exact – 43 if you count two of those songs being intertwined together for another musical number.
Stars on the show Joshua Bassett, Olivia Rodrigo and Dara Renee all contributed writing credits to some of the original songs, with Joshua penning the most.
We have gone through each and every one of those original songs and have picked the top 12 originals that were featured on HSMTMTS, and although the title says “ranked,” we couldn’t possibly do that, as it was hard enough narrowing it down to 12!

The Harry Potter film franchise came to a conclusion with 2011′s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, and our favorite young witches and wizards of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are all grown up in 2023.

Over the past 18 years since the ABC dancing competition first premiered, and across the almost 32 seasons, there have been several past and present Disney Channel stars who have taken to the ballroom floor to compete for the coveted mirrorball trophy!
