Vanessa Hudgens Will Always Be Honest With Dancers in 'So You Think You Can Dance' Auditions

So You Think You Can Dance is back with another all new episode tonight and we can hardly wait to watch all the new dancers coming in to audition for the reality series.

Judge Vanessa Hudgens opened up in a new interview about the way she judges the performances.

“I try to be as kind as I can, I don’t want to be mean…but I also try to be honest,” she shared with Fox.

Vanessa adds, “If something doesn’t do it for me, or if I don’t connect to the dancer or their performance, I tell them.”

“At the end of the day, it is a competition and you need someone to pick up the phone and vote for you. If I’m not connecting to you, there’s probably a chance that other people aren’t as well.”

So You Think You Can Dance airs TONIGHT, June 18th @ 8PM ET/PT on Fox.

Reigning SYTYCD Champ Lex Ishimoto Gives Advice To Those Going Out To Season 15 LA Auditions

Reigning SYTYCD Champ Lex Ishimoto Gives Advice To Those Going Out To Season 15 LA Auditions

Lex Ishimoto is still America’s Favorite Dancer after winning season 14 late last year on So You Think You Can Dance.

With the Los Angeles auditions happening this coming weekend, Lex headed to his Instagram Stories to send out some advice for those taking the leap and auditioning for the show.

“If y’all got something to prove, now is your chance. Let them know,” he starts out.

Lex continued, “But don’t be auditioning with some half-ass reason about going ‘just for the experience’ type bulls***. There’s other people that want the chance for the throne and don’t play yourself – you’re in the competition to win. Fight. Prove yourself worthy.”

And have the best time,” he added. “Accept this experience with open arms and allow it to change your life, if it does. Take on the challenges and evolve yourself. Game time. Good luck!”

So You Think You Can Dance is set to premiere in June on Fox.

Lindsay Arnold Would Love To Be an All-Star on 'So You Think You Can Dance' If The Opportunity Was There

Lindsay Arnold Would Love To Be an All-Star on 'So You Think You Can Dance' If The Opportunity Was There

In the past few seasons, we saw a ton of familiar faces pop back up on So You Think You Can Dance as All-Stars and choreographers. Now, we’re wondering when, and if, it will be Lindsay Arnold‘s turn.

The 24-year-old dancer was in season 9 of the show (in 2012) and made it to the top 8 dancers, and since then, has been on Dancing With The Stars.

In the past seasons, Jenna Johnson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Emma Slater and Allison Holker have all popped up on the show as All-stars and choreographers. So, could Lindsay get that chance?

“I think since I was on SYTYCD, right after that I was on DWTS. It’s never really lined up in a way that I could do it,” she tells JJJ. “I would obviously love to, but I don’t think it’s ever been able to work out with me being a pro on DWTS.”

However, she would definitely be open to choreograph for the show.

“It was cool to see Val, Sasha and Emma choreograph this [past] season,” she shared. “I really want to do that too. All I would have to do is submit some of my choreography and try out for that.”

Lindsay promises JJJ that she’s definitely going to submit some of hers for the next season.

“That just looks like a lot of fun and it’s a different experience because you’re choreographing on two dancers. I think I could do some pretty fun stuff.”

So You Think You Can Dance was just renewed for season 15.

'So You Think You Can Dance' Renewed For Season 15!

So You Think You Can Dance is officially coming back!

Fox just announced the renewal news, and season 15 will be back this summer on the network, with Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy, and Vanessa Hudgens returning as judges and Cat Deeley as host.

“I am always blown away by the sheer level of raw talent on this show,” Rob Wade, President, Alternative Entertainment and Specials, Fox Broadcasting Company, shared in a statement. “These are real people – unknown stars in their own right. And each week, they tell compelling, emotional stories through their craft.”

He adds, “We can’t wait for Nigel, Mary, Vanessa and Cat to hit the road once again and uncover the phenomenal talent that’s out there.”

Nigel, who also serves as executive producer, adds, “It’s incredible to make it to 15 seasons, which just speaks to the impact this program has had, not only on the world of dance, but also on our loyal fans and viewers, to whom we are most grateful.”

Past winners of the program include Lex Ishimoto, Gaby Diaz, and Jeanine Mason.

Auditions for the show will kick off next week!

Will 'So You Think You Can Dance' Return For Season 15? Here's What We Know

So You Think You Can Dance hasn’t been renewed for season 15 yet and JJJ is getting just a little worried.

With the reality competition show being one of our faves, we’d love to see it back on the network.

However, Rob Wade, President, Alternative Entertainment and Specials, shared during the recent Winter TCA Tour that they haven’t reached a decision yet.

“We’re looking at all our options for summer,” he said.

In our opinion, SYTYCD isn’t an option, it’s a priority and requirement. Renew it!

Past winners of the show include Lex Ishimoto, Gaby Diaz, Fik-Shun, and more. The show has also kicked off the careers of your dance faves like Jenna Johnson, Lindsay Arnold, Allison Holker, and Travis Wall.
