Sofia Black-D’Elia has been cast in the upcoming historical film Ben-Hur!
According to Deadline, the 23-year-old actress will act opposite Jack Huston, Morgan Freeman, and Toby Kebbell in the historical epic, which “chronicles the blood feud between Judah Ben-Hur (Huston) and Messala that erupts when Messala (Kebbell) condemns his childhood friend to slavery and certain death aboard a Roman warship.”
Sofia will play Tirzah, “Judah’s sister who becomes quietly political when the Roman Empire takes control of Jerusalem. She is imprisoned alongside her mother and both contract leprosy before Judah returns home to free his family and avenge them all.”
We can’t wait to see it!

Sofia Black-D’Elia gets the giggles with co-star Jonny Weston and director Dean Isrealite during the Getty Images Portrait Studio at the 2014 San Diego Comic Con held at the San Diego Convention Center on Thursday afternoon (July 24) in San Diego, Calif.
Along with Dean and Jonny, the 22-year-old actress is promoting their upcoming movie, Project Almanac, during the Paramount Studios presentation.
The flick follows a group of teens who discover secret plans of a time machine, and construct one. However, things start to get out of control — as you would assume they would.
Sofia also stars in the upcoming The Messengers.

With “The Spectator” in jeopardy after Dan (Penn Badgley) decided to publish elsewhere, Nate (Crawford) must make a difficult decision to keep it in business.
Meanwhile, Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) pushes Dan to choose a worthy person to date to boost his image, but he finds himself drawn in a different direction.

Meanwhile, Blair (Leighton Meester) prepares to debut her new fashion line, but a rival from her past holds the key to her future and Chuck (Ed Westwick) tries to persuade Amira (Andrea Gabriel) to help him look into his father’s past, even if it means jeopardizing Lily and Bart’s relationship.
