Sofia Carson looks breathtaking in a white gown while arriving at the 2023 Oscars held at Dolby Theatre on Sunday (March 12) in Hollywood.
The 29-year-old actress and singer is set to make her Oscars debut as she performs her nominated song during the ceremony.
Sofia is wearing a custom Giambattista Valli white draped silk-chiffon off shoulder crop top with twisted cutout bodice paired with an asymmetrical waist ball gown skirt. She accessorized with a gorgeous Chopard necklace and Jimmy Choo shoes.
Diane Warren, who penned Sofia‘s song “Applause,” was also seen arriving at the Oscars.
“Applause” is nominated for Best Original Song, after being featured in the film Tell It Like a Woman. This is Diane‘s 14th nomination at the Oscars in the Best Original Song category.

The 29-year-old singer has been officially announced to perform her Oscar-nominated song “Applause” alongside songwriter Diane Warren.
While it is presumed that the Original Song nominees will perform, it’s not always guaranteed.

The nominations for the upcoming 2023 Academy Awards (aka the Oscars) were just announced on Tuesday morning (January 24)!
There were lots of first time nominees this year, including Austin Butler, who picked up a nom for Best Actor for his work in Elvis, which received eight nominations as a film.
Also among the nominees this year is Sofia Carson‘s latest song “Applause,” which was written by Dianne Warren for the film Tell It Like a Woman. While Sofia performs the song, the nomination goes to Dianne as the songwriter, which marks her 14th nomination in her career.
Disney/Pixar movie Turning Red was nominated as well, for Best Animated Feature Film. This is Pixar‘s 17th nomination, the most ever for one studio in the category, with 11 wins, also the most in the category.

Sofia Carson and Diane Warren pose together on the red carpet at the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute held at the American Museum of Natural History on Sunday evening (December 11) in New York City.
The actress/singer and the songwriter performed their new song “Applause” during the event.
Also out for the evening were Selena Gomez, Zoey Deutch and Marvel stars Iman Vellani and Simu Liu.
