Sophia Grace has released her music video for her catchy new track “Why U Mad!”
If you recall, she and her cousin Rosie (aka Sophia Grace & Rosie) shot to fame back in 2011 after their cover of Nicki Minaj‘s “Super Bass” went viral and they appeared on The Ellen Show.
In “Why U Mad,” Sophia Grace, now 14, takes on her haters, addressing online bullying and her personal experience with it.
“Having been in the spotlight since I was very young, I know all about the negative comments and abuse you get from people online,” she said in a statement. “‘Why U Mad’ is my message to those people, and to anyone who’s experienced anything similar – Hold your head up high, be proud of who you are, and don’t let the bullies get you down.”
“Don’t hate on the happy / it’s never gonna work / loving yourself should always come first,” she sings.
The track marks Sophia Grace‘s third single, following “Girls Just Gotta Have Fun” and “Best Friends.”
Sophia Grace isn’t a tutu-wearing little girl anymore!
In fact, the social media sensation is too old for those, she says.
“There’s no more tutu,” she said during her appearance on ITV’s Loose Women. “I think it looks pretty but I’m 14 in April, so I guess I’m a bit old now.”
So, what’s next for Sophia? Obviously more music…and she’s a judge on ABC’s The Toy Box!
“I’m the serious “Judge” on @abcnetwork new show #TheToyBox , this brand new fun series starts April 7 Fridays 8|7c on ABC!” she promo’ed on Instagram.

Yara Shahidi is wearing the holiday headband we all need — they’re snowflakes! So cute!
People are usually super busy around the holidays, but this black-ish actress is MEGA busy — and not just because of the holiday season.
Turns out, Yara is in her last year of high school, has prom coming up, will be putting out a digital series, stars on a hit TV show AND she started her own mentoring club!
“I started [it] with Ann Tisch,” she tells W mag. “It was a lot of the girls from the 12 different YWLN schools around New York and we all met at Ann’s house [during my recent NYC trip].”
One of the things the group talks about is the recent election: “We had the most lovely conversation discussing what this election meant to us and discussing what actions we can take from here on out, given that for many of us it wasn’t the result we expected or wanted.”
Yara adds, “To see all of these passions, hopes, and dreams of mine come to fruition is pretty darn cool.”
Sophia also recently explained that it’s difficult when people still think she’s a little girl who wears tutus.
“It’s definitely hard. Because people still assume that I wear pink and tutus and, no I don’t ’cause I’m 13 now, I’ve grown up and I’ve changed. And people just kind of have to accept that,” she told Bustle.
