Sophia Grace was catapulted into the spotlight when she was just eight years old, and she has a lot of advice for her fans who want to follow in her footsteps and become social media stars.
“If you want to be a social media star or a celebrity you’ve just got to be you,” she told ITV’s Lorraine today (October 25).
“Be natural and try and have fun,” the 14-year-old “Why U Mad” singer continued. “People wanna see you the way you are and they will like you for who you are, not for being someone else. That’s what I try to do.”
It’s sound advice! Sophia also revealed that though she does get negative comments online, she has learned not to take them too seriously.
“I actually try and laugh at the comments I get,” she shared. “Half of the time I think it’s people bored so I just try to laugh about it and I actually find them quite funny sometimes.”
Mackenzie Ziegler looks so so cute at the premiere of Descendants 2 held at Arclight Theater in Hollywood on Tuesday night (July 11).
The singer/dancer, wearing a Cinq a Sept dress, flew back from her tour with Johnny Orlando just to attend the premiere, along with Chloe Lukasiak and Sophia Grace.
Sophia Grace isn’t a tutu-wearing little girl anymore!
In fact, the social media sensation is too old for those, she says.
“There’s no more tutu,” she said during her appearance on ITV’s Loose Women. “I think it looks pretty but I’m 14 in April, so I guess I’m a bit old now.”
So, what’s next for Sophia? Obviously more music…and she’s a judge on ABC’s The Toy Box!
“I’m the serious “Judge” on @abcnetwork new show #TheToyBox , this brand new fun series starts April 7 Fridays 8|7c on ABC!” she promo’ed on Instagram.
Sophia and her cousin Rosie shot to fame after her awesome video singing “SuperBass” by Nicki Minaj went viral and they appeared on The Ellen Show.
