Dylan Sprouse Shares That He & Cole Are Working Together, Just Not In The Way You Think

Dylan Sprouse and twin brother Cole Sprouse might not be working together on screen together at the moment, but that doesn’t mean they’re not working together at all.

“The misconception is that we don’t work together now, but we actually very much do, but in a very different way,” the 25-year-old actor shared in his new interview with MTV.

He continues, “Cole and I proofread and bounce ideas off each other 24/7. It doesn’t ever really stop, whether or not it’s an audition tape or tweet or reading my script and [him] telling me what you think of this character.”

Then again, Dylan isn’t opposed to working with Cole on screen again one day. As they’ve both stated before, it has to be a “really, really, really has to be a cool project.”

“It’s easy to stereotype twins into any role,” Dylan adds. “There’s not a lot of great twin roles written and often times when there are, they’re given to a single actor who green screens themselves into both places.

Dylan Sprouse Reveals The Real Reason He & Cole Left Disney Channel

Dylan Sprouse Reveals The Real Reason He & Cole Left Disney Channel

Dylan Sprouse and brother Cole left Disney Channel when they were 18-years-old, at the end of The Suite Life on Deck.

While most will think that the show just met it’s timely end, Dylan revealed the Vulture that the end came when Disney wouldn’t hear his or Cole‘s ideas for it.

“I mean, we had a really awesome idea for where the show needed to go. We were 18,” he shared. “If that isn’t old enough to know exactly what the show needs, then…well, I would beg to disagree.”

Dylan adds, “I don’t think [Disney] were willing to work with us, really ever. So we stopped the show.”

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody spun into The Suite Life on Deck, which ended in 2011.

Dylan Sprouse and his brother Cole Sprouse are lifelong actors — from birth (see: Grace Under Fire and Big Daddy) to now (see: Riverdale, and Dismissed).

The twin brothers are now, separately, killing it on the small and big screen, and Dylan knows how lucky they’ve both been.

“We both have been lucky enough to be actually successful in the things that we have strived to do,” he shared with Indiewire. “But I think for us these last couple of years have really been an exploration of not only who we are as people, but also who we are as individuals outside of each other, and I think we’re really comfortable with that.”

While the two are successful in their careers, Dylan admits that he does miss seeing Cole all the time.

“The only thing that kind of stinks is that it generally means that we’re away from each other for long periods of time,” he says. “We’re both very close so it’s very hard with him living in Vancouver year round and not seeing him very much. When we do reunite and hang out, it’s very nice.”

“I’m just immensely proud of my brother for tackling both the big job of doing Riverdale, which is a lot of hours and has had like a lot of success, and also at the same time not losing sight of his passions like photography, which he’s very good at,” Dylan adds — and instantly shoots us with all the feelings.

If you’re wondering if Dylan is an actual Riverdale watcher, despite trolling the entire cast, we have to break your heart.

“I hear very good things [about Riverdale] and I hear my brother is quite good so I’m proud of him nonetheless.”

Dylan Sprouse Drags Cole Sprouse With an Embarrassing Photo in New Tweet

Cole Sprouse has made his share of headlines lately with his second breakout role as lovable Jughead in Riverdale, but his twin brother (and fellow Suite Life of Zack & Cody star) Dylan Sprouse is less than impressed.

“IN THEIR MINDS:,” he tweeted, “@colesprouse is a very talented artist, not only can he act but he really captures human beauty in his imagery. IN MY MIND:”

He then attached a photo of young Cole donning a fedora and looking, okay, a little less-than-cool.

It’s a hilarious throwback and reminder that brothers will be brothers, regardless of how famous they get. Cole doesn’t want Dylan to watch Riverdale so maybe that’s why he’s not impressed. You should defy his wishes Dylan: it’s pretty good.
